If you have any gently used bean bag chairs or other comfy seang for kids that you would like to donate or any bright colored or solid colored area rugs, please send a picture/text to Stacy Emery at 618-751-3336. We are ready to get this program started again on Sunday evenings and even more excited to get this space setup for the kids. See You at the Pole Day is Wednesday, September 27 at 7am . All around the globe, in every me zone, students will be gathering at their flag poles praying for their school, friends, family, churches and communies. This is a day commied to global unity in Christ and prayer for this generaon. Join us for the SYATP Rally on Sept. 27 at 6:30pm. We will be assembling at the Middle School. Come on out and be blessed by hearing what God is doing among the students of our local schools. We will be ordaining 4 Deacons on Sept. 17 at 6pm. Please come out for this spe- cial service. Our Deacon candidates are Kerry Jones, Bill Moore, Jeremy Bennett, and Tyler Billman. Please pray for these men as they seek Gods heart for service to the DBC family. After the service, we will have a fellowship. We ask our DBC family to bring finger foods. Kids for Christ is coming to Harrisburg. This will take place at East Side school and it will be for grades K thru 5th. We will model the program and train Harrisburg volunteers the first 4 weeks of the program. Harrisburg will meet on Fridays after school beginning Oct 13-Nov 3. There will be an informational meeting for all new volunteers at the Har- risburg Park Community Building, 921 Poplar Street on Sunday, today at 1:30 pm. On Oct. 21, there will be a baby shower for Lynn Gibbs and expected baby, McKenize Lynn. It will be a Come & Goshower held at 1pm in the fellowship hall. If you are going on the Operation Christmas Child Processing Center trip to Georgia in December, the hotel rooms have been reserved and need to be paid. Illinois Disaster Relief training will be held on October 13-14 at Lake Sallateeska Baptist Camp near Pickneyville. The cost for new volunteers is $40, Badge Renewal is $10, Yearly Training is $10, and Overnight $10, Courses Offered: Disaster Relief 101, DR Chaplaincy, Chain saw, Flood Recovery, Assessment, Search & Rescue, Child Care, Communications,

Food Prep, Shower Trailer. You may register online. IBSA.org/[email protected]. ,(217) 391-3126.

Needed for service: Mass Feeding trained volunteers, Chaplains, Gold (Yellow) caps-We need all hands to be ready,

available and willing to serve. If you have questions, please con-tact Jim Weickersheimmer (2170 419-1175. If you need to con-

nect with the team in route, please speak with Jim. He is coordi-nating the logistics for teams to meet together and meet at the

half way housing location. If you can go, but have not been trained in mass feeding, we still need you. Please call Jim.

If you cannot serve at this time, please pray. Pray that those survivors would recognize that the Lord is already at work. Pray for volunteer to respond. Pray for cooperation

Imagine a place in America where people have never heard the Gospel, that place is...Illinois.

IBSA aids churches in reaching children with the Gospel, and

equipping students as tomorrow’ leaders through VBS, missions events, Youth Encoun-ter, and conference centers at Lake Sallateeska and Streator.

The Mission Illinois Offering supports a variety of missions led by the Illinois Baptist State Association. Together with almost 1,000 partner churches and church plants, we as a church can reach out across Illinois with the Gospel is several ways. Please make it a point to pray for State Missions this week.
