Introduction
The pages that follow contain an extensive assortment of quantitative information about students at California State University, Los Angeles. The variety of tables and graphs cover material concerned with such matters as enrollment, FTES, demographics, majors, grades, and degrees to name a few. The primary sources of most of the data were the state Enrollment Reporting System (ERS) data files and the campus Peoplesoft database.
Our hope is that the user of this booklet will apply the information within to making well-informed decisions pertaining to Cal State LA. For example, these data can provide evidence of trends or changes in trends which may be useful in campus planning.
For ease of access, all of the material contained in this “Facts and Figures” booklet is also available on the Institutional Research website which can be found at http://ir.calstatela.edu/ir/. Questions or comments are welcome as they may result in improvements not only to the “Facts and Figures” booklet but to the campus information management system as well. Please feel free to contact Peter Dwight, Jen Chen, Vivien Ko, or Mark Robinson by phone at (323)343-2730.
