• My daily schedule is posted for my class to peruse. In turn, it helps transitioning from one lesson to the next smoothly. Having a smooth transition allows more effective instructional time.

• During every ELD lessons,
students are encouraged to draw
a picture of what they learn from
the unit theme. The students
often express themselves better
through drawings to unknown
things than by writing about it.

• During every Open Court Reading unit opener, students are encouraged to draw a picture of what the believe the unit will be about. The students often express themselves better through drawings to unknown things than by writing about it.

• I use a variety of assessments to
assess my students. From
multiple choice tests to open
ended questions. I will inform
the students of their progress
with through a comment on
their work or a student
conference.
