Cost The regional training is sponsored by the California Department of Food and Agriculture’s Fairs & Expositions branch (F&E) and provided at no cost to all California fair staff and board directors. In addition, travel expenses to attend the regional training qualify for the 2015/2016 fair training allocation program. Proof of registration is required for reimbursement. Consumer Protection/Biosecurity certificate program. Lead by Technical Solutions International and IAFE.Contamination from E. coli and other enteric pathogens has potentially become a significant risk to those who support programs that bring humans and farm animals into close proximity, including state and county fairs.The IAFE workshop is designed to train and educate fair operators and other stakeholders by providing basic information about consumer protection programs while providing hands-on assistance in developing programs and protocols to enhance consumer safety at farm animal-human events.
