LOCAL PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENTS
An LPA documents the ways local partners will work
together to streamline service delivery, engage their
communities, and increase CIE opportunities for individuals
with ID/DD.
LPAs are being created throughout California.

Postsecondary goal development
Economic and personal self-sufficiency
Engagement in the IEP and transition planning process
DOR Student Services for students with disabilities
Individualized Plans for Employment (IPEs) with projected
postsecondary goals
On-the-Job training and short-term supports to obtain work
experience
Engagement in the IPE planning process
Active involvement by the school and regional center in the
IPE planning process, as appropriate, resulting in multiple
entities working toward the achievement of the individual’s
IPE goals.
Ongoing support services (i.e., job coaching) after an
individual’s job is stable to ensure his or her retention of the
job
Paid Internship Programs with wages provided as a pathway
to CIE
Tailored Day Services allow postsecondary education,
technical or vocational training in the community
