California Brittany Club We are coming into the dog days of summer when our Brittanys seem to have more en- ergy and get more af- ternoon naps than we do! Our specialty show on Memorial Day week- end was a huge success, thanks to 2 nd VP Sue Richards. Congratula- tions to all of the win- ners! Many club members went to San Francisco to go hippy dippyat Woofstock to partici- pate in 4 days of peace, love, dogs and the ABC Summer Specialty, a national event. We had a groovy time! CBC Brit- tanys made a great showing and took home a lot of ribbons, so con- gratulations to all of those winners and placements! Our club rocked it up in North- ern California! This summer gives us a chance to enjoy some unique CBC events. Our Annual Awards and din- ner is coming up on July 24 in the Millers air- plane hangar. Sh, sh, shthe winners are a big secret and there are some unexpected surprises afoot! Our Willie Match, an event unique to CBC (and to AKC) will be held on Au- gust 6th. It is a fun match for our Brit- tanys. More specific information should be coming soon! Jeri Conklin, our 3 rd VP, works very hard to en- sure that both of these events are a success. I know she needs volun- teers to help pull these together so please email her or call her to let her know how you can help out. I hope to see all club members come out for these events for fun, friend- ship, frolic and celebra- tion of our Brittanys. Remember to use our CBC Facebook page to share all of your sum- mer fun with your Brit- tany. It is a great place to let everyone know what fun activities or events you have shared together. Please get your brags into Hillary Herrera for the news- letter as well. Take a peek at our website as well. Flyers for the summer events will be posted there. We are still working hard to update our by-laws and that will posted there also. Our clubs social media is wonderful and needs to be accessed by all. Lets enjoy the fun and different CBC summer events because soon the fall field trial will be here! Camp H in California City, CA will be this year's venue for the fall trial - Oct 28, 29 and 30. Helpers will again be needed, both experienced and inex- perienced. I look for- ward to seeing you all out there. Lets have a great and memorable Brittany summer!
