All Big League Babes Directors played college softball at either Division I PAC 10 level or CCAA Division II level. Playing with and against the best athletes in the world, all our Directors come from successful colleges and top-tier softball programs. Big League Babes teach what it takes to have your Little League Babe play at a top-tier college level softball. Thorough evaluations help our Directors focus on enabling your Little League Babe to achieve the next step. Using small group stations, each player receives individualized instruction with personalized feedback. Our focus is on teaching basic skills while giving each girl a strong softball foundation to build upon. We are committed to delivering the physical as well as the mental side of softball. We have also incorporated defensive strategies, including mental drills and skills needed for hitting. Big League Babes softball encourages healthy habits with useful tips that aid in your Little League Babe’s overall success on the field. Evaluation assessments help determine players’ skill level, and our drills are designed to challenge all levels of ability. Katie Stokx played softball in Newbury Park and attended Newbury Park High School where she played varsity for 4 years. Katie received a scholarship to play soft-ball at California State University, Chico. There, she pitched for the Wild-cats for 4 years. Awards she received include “Freshman of the Year,” Regional MVP, and most recently “Wildcats of the Decade.” Katie has a strong passion for sports and teaching, She enjoys teaching 6th grade at Redwood Middle School.

Bridgette Overstreet attended Orland High School and was a 3-year letterman. Bridgette played for California State University, Chico and split time at catcher and centerfield positions. She helped the team to the NCAA Division II World Series with a 3rd place finish. Bridgette still holds records for most homeruns, doubles, and swiped bases.

She started her coaching career with the Wildcats in 2004. In 2006 Bridgette became Head Coach for the Corvallis High School Softball team. In her first year in the position she led the Spartans to the most wins in a season and to the semi-final playoffs. In 2008 she became assistant coach at Western Oregon University at the Division II level. At Western Oregon, Bridgette worked with the outfielders, catchers, and hitters. In 2010 Bridgette returned to California and chose Camarillo as her new home. Bridgette is currently in her first year as the Assistant Softball Coach at Moorpark College.

Brooke Lambert played softball at Camarillo High School, and made 1st Team All League Player 3- of her 4-years. Her accomplishments include Marmonte League MVP her Junior year, First Team All State, All CIF, Daily News and LA Times 1st Team selection. At Oregon State she was a starter 4-years and played 5 different positions,

helping to take the team to the NCAA Regionals 3 times. Brooke has coached at Camarillo High School for 10 years and

was named 2011 Coach-of-the-Year when she helped take Camarillo to become the CIF Champions. She has coached travel-ball the last 3-years along with her many years of private instruction on hitting, pitching and fielding for softball players. A Big League Babe Instructor, Brooke helps student-athletes achieve their goals to play softball at the Collegiate level.

DeAnn Young attended Camarillo High School where she was a 4-year letter winner for coach Jack Willard. DeAnn earned a laundry list of awards in her time at ACHS including 3x 1st Team All-Pacific View League Selection, Named ACHS Co-Offensive Player Of The Year as a sophomore, Pacific View League Player of the Year as a junior, was voted ACHS Outstanding Offensive Player, A Ventura Star, Daily News, and LA Times 1st Team selection, a 1st Team All-CIF selection.

She attended Oregon State University, and as a freshman she helped lead her team to the Division I College World Series in 2006. Young also earned a honorable mention for her efforts at the All-Pac-10 Conference. After 4 years of playing for Oregon State, DeAnn worked for the Beaver’s softball team as a volunteer coach. She worked closely with the outfield corner positions and with the hitters. DeAnn also worked as camp counselor at the UCLA softball camps where she coached her own team each camp. DeAnn is currently a volunteer as-sistant coach at Moorpark College.
