Calibration of Weighing Systems from 1g to 100 Tonnes
Precia Molen, due to our weighing know- how,
will actually recalibrate your scale ensuring that
it is weighing accurately and within tolerance
(unlike many other service providers who leave
the scales ‘as found’) even if the weighing
instrument is initially out of tolerance when
tested .
Calibration tests are available at our calibration
test centres or on your site. Our engineers are
based Nationwide to ensure an efficient and
flexible service.
Precia Molen engineers are fully trained
professionals with extensive experience in
calibrating and maintaining weighing systems.
Precia Molen provides Calibration Certificates
for all weighing equipment calibrated including
labels with ‘next due date’ indicated.
Certificates are provided for the methodology,
test weights and other reference instruments
used which are traceable to National
Standards.

Quality Standard and all works are carried out
in accordance with Health & Safety at Work
Acts. Method Statements, Insurances, Safe

Calibration Techniques
Standard Reference Weights certified to extreme
accuracies including masses from 1mg to 2t constructed
from a range of materials to suit specific industry requirements, such
as stainless steel for pharmaceuticals or food processing operations,
are used. Perfect for calibrating scales and balances.
Precia Molen utilises its own purpose– designed
Weighbridge Test Unit comprising up to 30,000Kg of
certified weights, integral forklift, driver and accredited
engineer to provide an efficient calibration service with
minimum disruption to normal site activities.
Verification Services (Weights & Measures) can also be provided due to
Precia Molen being NSAI ‘Authorised Verifiers’.
Widely used and accepted the use of a certified Flow-
meter is determined by the availability of water or
another liquid to be introduced into the vessel for the
calibration process.
Non– invasive, yet traceable & accurate, the Force
Transfer method can enable calibration of a vessel, in
many cases, without the need to take it out of service.
Using certified reference loadcells and hydraulic jacks in
either ‘push-up’ or ‘push– down’ mode significant
savings are possible in both cost and time.
