PRINCIPAL’S REPORT
Opening of the Flexible Learning Centre
Richard Bolt Secretary of the DEECD officially opened the Flexible Learning Centre
(FLC) on Wednesday last week. Thank you to everyone involved. To Huw
Derwentsmith and the FLC team, to Steve Garro and Belinda Wilton and the Hospitality
team who provided the food and to everyone else who had a hand in making it such an
outstanding success. Richard Bolt, Sonia Sharp and Peter Greenwell greatly
appreciated being invited and spent about double the time allocated talking to students
and teachers about what they were doing. They were greatly impressed by what they
heard.
Opening of Student Art Exhibition - Kaleidoscope
A sincere thank you to Bianca Acimovic, Curator of Visual Arts at the Albury Gallery
for officially opening the exhibition on Friday night in the Library. The calibre of the
work is exceptional. On display is work representing all facets of the Arts Faculty. The
facilities represented include; Year 12 Art (General), Studio Art (Photography), Visual
Communication and Media. Students work, along with their folios become part of their
submission of work for their final assessment.

students and their teachers

for assembling the exhibition.

YEAR 10 & 11 THE WORK CONTINUES
A letter to parents will be forwarded this week outlining the program
between now and the end of the
year. It includes important information about exam timetables
and the importance of the Head
Start program in preparation for next year.
It is important that students fully understand what is required for
them to successfully complete the
year. Students are encouraged to use their time profitably over the
next five weeks.
Head Start is an important part of
the preparation for 2015. Students
are expected to be at the College for the entire two weeks. Meaningful
work will be provided and students
should leave at the end with a clear understanding of what will be
required in each subject.

For each occupation, you can find out what
you do on a day to day basis, what school
subjects you need, where you can study
courses related to the occupation and state
specific information. It is an excellent
guide for young people and their parents.
