Hospitality Announcements

Core Groups: Finding A Place To Belong We are trying to do a better job at being relationally connected with one another in our church. When new people come into our church, we want to be able to offer an environment where people can connect and begin getting to know others. And, one way we are doing that is through our Core Groups. A Core Group consists of 8-12 people, meeting together weekly for a season, and following along with the current sermon series. Following the summer break, our fall session Core groups will launch on September 27th. If you are not yet connected with a Core Group, please see Pastor Trent at the Core Group sign-up table in the church foyer this morning or you may log on to our church website at www.centraliachurch.com and click on Community Life/Core Groups.

Upcoming Baptism Class and Baptismal Service

In keeping with the command of Jesus to be baptized, those desiring to learn more about the sacrament of baptism are invited to participate in an informational class facilitated by Pastor Dave. This will be offered in the Goodwin Chapel at 9:00 am on Sunday, Sep-tember 20th, with a baptism service taking place in the Worship Center immediately following morning wor-ship on Sunday, September 27th.

Stitch 'n Peace/Friends of Tabitha Ministry is hosting a dedication of their studio and sharing information about ministries and activities for the coming year. Stitch ‘n Peace is a place where all are welcome to stitch in peace! This includes stitching of all kinds and one can take a class or just enjoy a peaceful place to work on their craft. Stitch ’n Peace is also a vital outreach to the local needs within the community creating quilts and afghans, sweaters, hats, scarves and such to be donated to local agencies such as Possibilities Pregnancy Center, Twin City Mission for Women and Children, Love INC, etc. Another focus is in Military Appreciation quilts and afghans for groups like Veterans Relief of Lewis County. This joyous kick-off takes place at the studio, 19245 Old Hwy 99 SW in Rochester, on Monday, September 14th, at 10:00 am. This is open to everyone who is inter-ested in this outreach or wanting to share in an opportunity of serving God through their gifts and tal-ents. Coffee and refreshments will be served. Questions? Please contact Carla Bower at 273-5246.
