Glenda Ritz, Superintendent of Public Instruction, announced the Hoosier Family of Readers initiative on May 10, 2013. Her goal is for every student to read at least 20 minutes a day throughout the summer as part of
an overall effort to develop a culture of readers. Your child will have access to 3,000 online books for FREE through a partnership between Indiana Department of Education and “myON” books, a complete digital library with English and Spanish texts.
Please visit www.doe.in.gov/hoosierreaders for more information. If you have any questions about “myON” or would like more information, please contact Cathy Michalek at (812) 655-6161 or email [email protected]

him. He is willing to help others when in

Thank you to all the 4th and 5th
grade families that participated in
the King Arthur bread baking pro-gram. Over 130 loaves of home-
made bread were made and donated to needy families in our area. The
bread went to St. Jude House, The St.Matthias Outreach Program and the St. Joseph Soup Kitchen.
Thanks also to King Arthur Flour for donating all the bread-making
materials.
