SBA Board: It’s late Sunday night as I write this, and I’ve had a fever all weekend, so I apologize if things come out sloppy.

Working on Barrister’s Ball (and watching the Super Bowl) I’ve been thinking a lot about teams and how important they are. I’m thankful for my overt teams at school- the SBA board, administrative mentors, and study groups. But behind the scenes there always seems to be a more silent team in place. At school, I have all the like-minded public interest cronies that I rely on for every event I put on and every time I’m afraid I’m off in the wrong direction. I have friends who I vent to when we’re working off the left-over pizza we live on from the lounge. And I guess, even in those messy family-dynamics, there seems to be some who are just on your team and support you, and some who aren’t. At least, that’s how it seems to be in my family. I guess the interesting part isn’t so much the people who are always there for you, but the ones who are on the other side, challenging your choices and making you be better. The thing is, I think maybe they’re just as important, even though it certainly doesn’t feel like it as it’s happening. But there can’t be a winning Super Bowl Sunday for the Saints without the Colts, so the Saints should appreciate the Colts forcing them to be better, you know?

Anyway, the fever, like I said. What most of you care about is the Barris-ter’s Ball, and how my team is handling that, so I’ll get into it. Although we sold out of tickets, we do have a wait-list going. Traditionally, prefer-ence has gone to 3Ls and people who signed up the day that the ball sold out. If you haven’t emailed me, please feel free to do so. I promise we are doing our best to make everything as fair as possible. Please, go easy on us as this progresses. Each one of us is doing what we can to ensure the most people can have the best night possible.

That’s it for now. Thanks to those of you on each of my teams.

Have a good week, Santa Clara.

    Sincerely,

    Caitlin E. Robinett
