This week: Gold assemblies
Helpers’ Morning Tea
Behaviour Expectations
Last Day of School
Rule of the Week
Gold assemblies
Our next gold assembly will be held tomorrow, Friday 16 November at 12:00pm. As well as gold certificates, we are
also going to be presenting the first gold keys to students
who have demonstrated continued commitment to maintaining excellent behaviour, both in and out of the
classroom. We are very proud of our "KPS Gold Key Kids".
Helpers’ Morning Tea
Each year we have parent and community volunteers who give their time and support on a regular basis to help our
school in a number of ways. This includes activities such as helping in the classroom, covering books, coaching a sport
team or helping in the canteen and uniform shop. We value the good work these people do and to show our
appreciation, we have a helpers’ morning tea towards the end of each year.
We will be having this year’s morning tea on Tuesday 27
November. Invitations will be sent home very soon.
Behaviour Expectations It’s the time of year when many students are getting tired
and restless and some careless behaviour decisions are being made. This has been particularly evident in our Stage
3 students. We would like all students to finish the year on a positive note and encourage students to continue to
maintain high standards of behaviour and respectful interactions with peers and teachers right through to the
last day of school.
Last day of School There have been several enquiries to the office regarding
the last day of school. School finishes on Wednesday, 19 December for all students. Teachers then have two
professional development days and finish on Friday, 21
December.

LESSONS NEXT
From the Principal continued;
Rule of the Week This week’s rules are about behaviour during sport activities. Teachers and students practised and talked
about the following expectations that relate to our school’s four values of Care, Courtesy, Cooperation and
Commonsense.
The reason for these rules is to ensure that everyone gets
to play fairly and have a turn and everyone is safe.
Thank You
Mrs Peters returns from leave tomorrow and I would like to thank the school community for their support while she has
been away. Kincumber Public is a great school.
