Faculty Recital Featuring Arisa Kusumi, Accompanied by Helen Huang
WHAT: Rollins College Department of Music will present a faculty recital featuring light
lyric soprano Arisa Kusumi accompanied by acclaimed pianist Helen Huang. This event is free and open to the public.
WHO: Light lyric soprano Arisa Kusumi has been praised for her “elegant tone and
beautiful phrasing,” (Orlando Sentinel). Her recent concert and recital appearances include the Verbier Festival in Switzerland, the Marlboro Music Festival, Austrian Embassy in Washington, D.C, the Robert Schumann Philharmonic of Germany and the Bach Festival Society of Winter Park. She has sung in more than 300 opera performances around the world, including at the San Francisco Opera and at the Chemnitz and Halle Operas of Germany. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from the Eastman School of Music and continued her studies at Münchener Singschul' of the Bavarian State Opera, Ravinia Festival, and the Goethe Institut. Currently, she is an adjunct professor of voice at Rollins College.
