Converting

The widely used term converting reers to processes like

lamination, embossing, gluing, coating and printing, and

applies, amongst others, to critical products such as hygiene

paper and lm, tape and adhesives, fexible packaging, wood

laminate, PVC and technical textiles.

The production conditions are oten stringent and include

high temperatures, line speed and working pressures, as well

as demanding chemical and environmental conditions.

Hannecard has developed exceptional solutions including

Lotus, Edelweiss, Vulcan, MultiGra, ClearFoiland Flexolys-Foam,

increasing the limits o elastic coverings and enabling new

possibilities.

Film and oil

Hannecard is equipped to manage rollers o up to 12 metres

long and 32 tonnes. Our coverings and solutions are adapted

to high speed and high precision operations. Our possibilities

include light-weight aluminium and carbon bre rollers,

dynamic balancing and high-precision grinding and nishing.

High-end coverings and concepts are at hand or processes

like stretching, corona and fame treatment, lm separation,

coating, winding and slitting.

Textile

The diversity o textile products and processes is huge, as is the number o dierent roller types.

Hannecard has got it all covered. We provide solutions or tissue weaving, washing, mercerizing,

bleaching, dyeing and coating as well as or products such as non-woven, tuted carpet, technical

Paper and cardboard

Paper production is a critical and demanding business, where covered rollers have to meet complex

requirements. Hannecard has responded to the industrys specic needs, by creating a separate unit,specialised in the covering o rollers with rubber, polyurethane and composite materials or the

production o pulp and paper: Kalker Paper.

Our rubber and polyurethane solutions also apply to the nishing and converting o paper and board

products: packaging, envelope production, cutting, olding, printing, embossing etc.

Wood

From tree to nished product, Hannecard proposes coverings with a lietime guarantee. The exceptional

hardness range, rom shore 00 to shore D, oers coverings adapted to every type o application.

For the coating, varnishing and oiling o wooden suraces, Hannecard proposes WoodFoam - a ull-

range o cellular rubber coverings with dierent density levels - as well as coverings rom 10 to 65

shore A (both in rubber and polyurethane) such as MultiCoatand Monkal.

The roller surace can be smooth, but also grooved and engraved nishes (by laser or mechanically) are

possible. Also, or laminating with either cold glue or hot-melt technology, specic coverings are at hand.

Hannecard goes back a long way...

It all started at the end o the 19th century, when rollers were covered with ebonite and

the rst natural rubber versions made their entrance.

With the invention o synthetic rubbers, Hannecard took a major leap orward.

Subsequently, the introduction o polyurethane coverings allowed us to build a solid

reputation or the covering o graphic and industrial rollers, as well as or elastomeric

specialties (extrusion, moulding, and surace protection).

In order to meet the specic needs o each industrial domain, we created our separate units :

Industrial rollers : roller coverings or various industries

Specialty Graphics sleeves and roller coverings or fexography, rotogravure and

narrow web printing, in addition to the classic solutions or oset printing

Kalker Paper : roller coverings or pulp and paper production

Elastomer specialties : customised extruded and moulded goods in rubber and

polyurethane

Over the last 25 years, Hannecard has experienced exceptional growth. The geographical
