Calabarzon
is an acronym for the provinces comprising
the region – CAvite, LAguna, BAtangas, Rizal
and QueZON. It is situated immediately
south and east of Metro Manila, and is the
complementary hideaway for anyone
looking to escape the hustle and bustle of
the capital.
Calabarzon is rich with stories relating to
the country’s colonial past, of heroes and
revolutionaries standing up for the ideals of
freedom and self-rule. Many monuments
still stand as powerful reminders of days
gone by, but the region hurtles on as one of
the most economically-progressive areas
for tourism, investments and trade.

Getting There Travelers can take air-conditioned buses going to southern Luzon from among the multitudes of bus terminals within Metro Manila. Travel time to Cavite and Rizal usually takes an hour while Batangas, Laguna and Quezon may be reached within two to four hours.
Hotels and Resorts The region has a good collection of accommodation facilities that offer rest and recreation at stunningly-low prices. From classy deluxe resort hotels to rental apartment options, one will find rooms, apartments and evens mansions that are suitable for every group of any size. The Pahiyas festival is arguably the most colorful and one of the most prominent festivals in the entire country.
