THE MOGGIES ARE A LINCOLNSHIRE BASED 60’S BAND. Formed back in 1989 they have built a strong following with a reputation for an excellent recreation of the authentic 60’s sound. As well as a high level of musicianship all the band members sing and their harmonies allow for excellent recreations of sounds such as The Beatles, The Searchers, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, The Monkees, The Byrds, The Small Faces and many others. The band comprises of three former professional musicians; Carl Harris, Ian Cawsey and Lee Barber with the experienced hands of Steve Hall on the drums. Between them they have nearly 200 years of experience of live performances!A great night of dancing and singing is guaranteed as the hits keep coming one after another. It’s like turning back the clock to when music was fab and Britain was the undisputed heart of the global music scene. A night not to be missed.

FREDDIE CROWDER -BIG SCREEN STAR But tonight showcasing his musical talents

Originally born in Grimsby, Freddie Crowder now lives a short distance away in the small town of Caistor, which nestles on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. He is a pupil at Caistor Grammar School, a selective school with academy status, ranked one of the top schools in the UK for academic performance. The middle child of three brothers, Freddie enjoys tremendous support from both his immediate and extended family.Outside of school, he enjoys playing the guitar, drums and keyboard in a local band, as well as taking lead on vocals, and is an active member of a local football team. However, his overriding passion is acting and performing and he now takes classes at Bradford's Yorkshire School of Acting.

3

It was whilst a pupil of the Grimsby drama school Stagecoach that Freddie, then aged just 10 years old, fought off strong competition to secure a role in the film "Grimsby", by impressing casting directors with his confidence and talent. In the film, Freddie plays the role of Tsunami, a lager drinking, cigarette smoking, thieving individual, a total contrast to his home background. Yet his ability to improvise, when required, so impressed Sacha Baron Cohen, the film's writer and leading actor, that the script was adapted to enlarge his role.Freddie's movie debut involved working on set in both the UK and South Africa and was an early introduction to the disciplines required in a profession that he hopes to forge a career.

On completion of filming, the actress Rebel Wilson (who plays the role of his screen mother) wrote congratulating Freddie saying, "You crushed it."

CAISTOR ARTS & HERITAGE CENTRE MONTHLY EXHIBITIONJuly: Rosemary AbrahamMy paintings explore at least four subjects: floral, landscape, abstract and seascape. The landscapes are inspired particularly by North Yorkshire for its dramatic power and the simplicity of a largely uninhabited countryside. My abstract paintings are geometrically constructed and textural, working onto a plaster base; metal foils and varnishes are added occasionally to provide a further dimension.Saturday July 2nd Meet The Artist 1130-133028 Plough Hill Caistor LN7 6QZ 01472 851605 mailto:[email protected]
