- Read through all of the instructions before beginning.- All of the seam allowances are 1/4” unless otherwise noted.- Press seam allowances open unless otherwise noted. - Width of fabric (WOF) is equal to at least 44” wide.- Right sides together has been abbreviated to RST.- Remember to measure twice and cut once!
Note: Use alternate cutting instructions as shown on pages 11-12 for Jewel colorstory.

From Fabric M, cut:four 2-1/2” x WOF strips for the binding
Note: These instructions are specifi c to Block 1, but the same process is used in all eight blocks. Pay close attention to the fabric placement and orientation, as some blocks are mirror images of each other. It is best to make each block individually to ensure proper fabric placement.
Assemble the Blocks
Step 1: Sew the Fabric D, Template 4 pieces to adjacent edges of a Fabric G, Template 3 piece. Press the seams toward the triangles.

Press Press Step 2: Sew the Fabric B, Template 1 piece to the completed Step 1 unit. Press the seam toward the Template 1 piece. Set the unit aside.
Step 3: Sew the Fabric C, Template 4 pieces to adjacent edges of a Fabric G, Template 3 piece. Press the seams toward the triangles. Repeat to make three units like this.

Step 4: Sew the Fabric A, Template 1 piece to the completed Step 3 unit. Press the seam toward the Template 1 piece. Repeat to make three units like this.

Step 5: Sew a Fabric A, Template 2 pieces to each of the two long edges of the Fabric C, Template 2 piece. Press the seams toward the Fabric A pieces. Sew a Fabric J, Template 2 piece to the top of the unit. Press toward the Fabric J piece. Repeat to make four units like this.
Step 6: Sew a completed Step 3 unit to a completed Step 5 unit. Press toward the Step 5 unit. Repeat to make three units like this.
Step 7: Sew a completed Step 2 unit to a completed Step 5 unit. Press toward the Step 5 unit.

Step 8: Sew the assembled units together as illustrated, fi rst sewing into pairs and pressing seams in opposite directions, then sewing the pairs together to form the block. Press the fi nal seam open.
Repeat this process to make:
four of Block 1 two of Block 2 two of Block 3

Step 9: Sew the Blocks together in four rows of two, noting the orientation and placement of each block. Press the block seams to the left in the odd numbered rows and to the right in even numbered rows. Sew the rows together, nesting the seams and pressing the row seams open.
Step 10: Sew the side border strips to the table runner. Press seams toward the border. Sew the top/bottom border strips to the table runner. Press seams toward the border.
Your table runner top is now complete! Baste, quilt, bind and enjoy!
