Are they only products of human imagina-tion, effeminate creatures from church paintings, amorettos sometimes seen on works of art or maybe angels are intelli-gent creatures living in dimensions un-known to us?Can it be biblical „heaven”? It’s interesting that there are plenty of speculations in modern physics regarding alternative uni-verses that may exist in other dimensions. One example: the Nobel prize winner Steven Weinberg: „Possibly universe is far more extensive than we used to imagine, and includes not only these areas which are the consequence of the big bang. It may consist of various parts – and when I say parts I mean a lot of things by that – parts with all sorts of attributes. What we called laws of nature, may take some other form in them – even dimensions of time and space might be different” (World of Science , December 2010)Can we treat disrespectfully, as a bibli-cal legend, passage of Genesis (chapter 6, verse 2 and 4): “That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose”; “There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the

daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.” Moses wrote these words about 3500 years ago and yet he described times ancient for him. Do these events echo in Greek myths describing gods coming down on Earth and getting women pregnant with hybrids with supernatural powers – half-gods.. Did rebel rebellious angels materialized in the distant past in our world?!! Why shouldn’t we take it seriously? In New Testimony in Jude, verse 6 we read about these angels: „left their own habitation”. According to the Bible this is how the origin of demons looked like. They were just – putting it mildly – not very good behaving angels. Doesn’t seem to fit to the angel’s image in our culture, does it? And what about good angels – does Bible always show them as not harmful creatures? Second Kings chapter 19, verse 35: „ And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the Lord went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.” Do these couple of quotations make us think?

Angels – are they only a fantasy or maybe some kind of invisible forces’ emanation?...maybe…Some people are aware of their present all the time. Mankind from cen-turies has believed in God as well as his divine envoys. We had ascribed many varying functions to angels. They were supposed to take care of various domains of live. The most im-portant of them are archangels – they deal with .matters of fate. There are also cheru-bims – they are in charge of minor issues, and cupids, who are messengers of love. It’s interesting how big our need of im-material creatures is. Maybe it’s caused by this impression of someone’s presence, even when we are the most alone. Angels are told to have amazing skills – after all they help our wishes and dreams come true. Be careful though! Only these wishes and dreams which are actually good for us.

Angel’s presence - higher order creatures - also called divine messenger – gives us in a way feeling of safety. We feel protec-ted, heard. It gives us an opportunity to let go some things that are out of our control. And as we know letting go – true one, from the bottom of the heart – may cause that things and events in our lives start to work out in unique and the only right way. Pro-bably we all have personal experience like this. Therefore let’s pass up, let go reins of control and just give up. It’s one of rules, laws of spirituality in our live.

Angels have been theme beloved by pain-ters for centuries. From sacred painting to

begin with up to erotic, frivolous, often corny drawings. They sometimes take more abstract form too.... They are in-spiration for writers and poets, sculptors and photographers….

When we hear „angel”, we think of some-thing absolutely good and unblemished. We use to say “angel” to people, who have these qualities or we’d like to think they do have them. But if there is an angel – there’s has to be a demon, fallen angel that went to the evil side. So we have light and darkness, abverse and reverse, thereby duality of our psyche. We struggle with our de-mons everyday. We work on shadows, il-luminate them with mindfulness, so they can change into positive aspects. But maybe we shouldn’t fight demons – ne-gative qualities – because that’s is how we make them stronger. It is better just to accept them and use strength hidden in them.

It’ s good to believe in angels or at least try to believe in them. As higher instan-ce, higher awareness. Let them act or maybe even talk to them. Because it may be a way to connect with ourselves and our intuition. And that I can particularly recommend. With angelic regards,

Glaucousness, make me fly!

A year ago Zakrzówek as Alfa Centauri of discussion of Cra-cow’s public space was media’s favourite child and trendy muffin to coffee in town. But soon enough sides of the argument begun to antagonize each other acting according to a simple rule that it is easier to fight against opponent - extremis. Not neces-sarily in more substantive way. In effect layman got to know the whole matter through inaccura-cies and simplifications of few versions of the story , each re-lated to facts in rather casual way. More conscious people lost their trust and any wiling to get involve in the dispute, less insightful ones figured that whole matter must be local and not significant. Fi-nally, the issue disappeared from the surface of main stream social discussion. It appeared that Zakrzówek as a topic is totally over and nothing besides bureaucratic shambles may happen here. But then she appeared – superhero who

proofed already that there are no things impossible when she made trees blossom whole year – Cecylia Malik. Together with Mo-nika Drożyńska, Karolina Kłos and Justyna Koeke they established Blue Butterfly Collective and got into colouring fading idea. Artist, social and cultural campaigners, also residents started to join the group all aware that they are fighting for unique place which is deprived of legal protection anly because the fact that flooded quarry is man made. Winged photos spread all over Facebook, people wearing blue wings crowd out into streets and residents started to watch their steps more closely not to walk into blue butterflies spayed on sidewalks. Media, silent for months and fed up with the argu-ment about the lake, now boiled as if Icelandic volcano. How was it done? With a wonder-fully simple idea, although you have to come up with it first; with

using one symbol, one colour and getting off the ground with a little piece of abstraction. With art, but not the one wandering around with no purpose what so ever and hopelessly involved in sarcastic interpretations – but with art as a smart tool. Instan-taneousness of collective has o lot of power and it is cool to feel, that there is no space here for hesitation, awkwardness and wide hands spreading. And the strategy of the the enterprise is well thought through and what’s more important - impressively well thought put into effect.Girls created blog www.modraszekkolektyw.blogspot.com – it lives in lovely rhythm of bad rhymes, openness, enthusiasm and lack of grievances. With time they started to put there news, tutorials of physical and mental transformations, templates with usage inspirations, samples of leaflets and posters which everyone can make at home and

photo gallery co-created by web site visitors. Collective is also on Facebook, supported by Photo-shop studio of wings’ transplant, which permanently changed hundreds of profiles. On streets, in squares and in bars there are trainings organised where people can learn how to make less virtual wings: classic, hard – of cardboard, and more soft – of tulle.
