Inspired by the longstanding excellence of Italian lifestyle where quality and innovation are thoroughly considered – from clothing to architecture to utility accessories – Contatempo Scuderia draws parallels from a beloved genre within Italian lifestyle: vintage sport racing – both in terms of culture and design refinement. ContaTempo Scuderia speaks to the spirit who is driven by innovation, but will not sacrifice style with evolution. Paramount to the line are sophisticated details and craftsmanship, well-appointed utility in all watch functions, and a true feel for strong mechanicals.

Sparked by his passion for vintage Italian racing, third generation Italian watchmaker, Enrico Margaritelli, expanded into automatic movements to further highlight superior quality and design. Each watch is crafted with the highest attention to detail. Constructed with four precise pieces, and with horns applied and finished by hand to fit the various styles of its crowns or pushers, the line boasts top of the line standards. Across all collections is a sapphire crystal 46 mm dial accompanied with the highest visibility LumiBright system, screw crowns and a 10 ATM water resistance. Each watch includes unique black stainless steel with glass case backs to uncover the intricacy of the movement in addition to stainless steel blue screws and flamboyant enamel colors of the Italian flag.

Further integrating luxury elements into its design, straps are hand crafted with the finest Italian leathers incorporating the same perforated leather used on superior luxury sports cars as well as NATO straps made with extra resistant material and lightweight fibers. With Italian collection names such as Bizzarrini and Palombaro as well as Classic and Master Time, these sporty automatic watches embody the heritage of sport racing and the utmost sophistication in Italian design.

Enrico’s tenure in watch design , as a third generation Italian watchmaker, includes a long time collaboration with the Fossil Group especially in the development of projects such as Emporio Armani watch collections and various other brands of the group. His biggest inspiration, his grandfather, Ariodante Margaritelli, was a dedicated watchmaker in Parma, Italy where he created highly technical precision watch instruments for the Military during World War I and II. The clean lines of CT ContaTempo Scuderia were envisioned by Enrico’s gravitation towards unusual shapes, lines, and patterns as well as his enthusiasm for Italian design and vintage sport racing designs.

Isabelle’s passion for business and watch manufacturing has taken the brand to new heights with a fully integrated business concept where they control each step of production from the moments the designs come out of Enrico’s creativity to the day they reach the windows of the very selective retailers on an international level.

Enrico Margaritelli’s life journey has echoed that of his forebears — as a third-generation watchmaker, he has naturally become a sophisticated designer of fine timepieces. Befitting a man of passion, however, his path has not been linear. Before assuming the mantle of the family trade, he was a professional motorbike racer who was intoxicated by the heady allure of café-racer society: Sometimes the racetrack has a defined start and finish; other times the finish line is but a notion, and you keep going until you find the perfect disembarkation point. (A tidy metaphor for a well-lived life, that.) Yet even after Margaritelli left behind the gears and timing devices of one world for those of another, his first passion — motorcycles — had left its imprint on the very fiber of his being.

The pleasure of discovery as the journey continues is a driving force in Margaritelli’s life. Thus café racing — the world’s most influential motorcycle movement, in which man and machine are on proud public, symbiotic display, individualism personified — was a natural inspiration for his next venture.
