PORTAL 2PORTAL 2As a personal project this semester, I storyboarded, illustrated, and animated a film title sequence for Valve’s 2011 PC game, Portal 2. Using console commands to freely navigate the game’s 3D space, I documented in-game environments, produced illustrations from the game content, and created the final piece in After Effects.

ADVENTURE TIMEADVENTURE TIMEI illustrated and animated a television bumper for Pendleton Ward’s Cartoon Network

show Adventure Time. I wanted to imitate as closely as possible the visual style of the cartoon itself while pairing it with the more stylized, rigged animation of After Effects.

AVENUE QAVENUE QIn collaboration with classmate Bryce Tucker, I illustrated and animated brief

video clips for the OU University Theatre production of Avenue Q.

We began production of each video based on storyboards provided by the OU theatre department, illustrated each one and animated them throughout the

semester in conjunction with rehearsals.

99 ANNUAL STUDENT ART EXHIBITION99 ANNUAL STUDENT ART EXHIBITIONEach year, the junior Visual Communications class at OU competes to brand the upcoming University of Oklahoma’s Annual School of Art & Art History Student Exhibition (in this case, the 99th Annual Exhibition). I branded it as a personal project; I did not submit the final designs for consideration in the competition.

Because the show relies primarily on wall decals to incorporate each year’s brand, I wanted to design a brand that could theoretically incorporate motion or wall projections of the logo in the museum space. Conceptually, because the Annual Student Exhibition is a cross-section of every discipline in the School of Art & Art History, I established a ‘How’s it Made’, mechanical innards look and feel for the brand I developed. I also trimmed the unwieldy exhibition title.

DUCODUCOI developed and branded a conference for city planning and development with an emphasis on the future. With this branding and direction, I illustrated and animated a video spot for DUCO in After Effects. I’m currently planning two more videos to add to the project.
