INSTRUCTIONS FOR ONLINE ENTRIES1. Go to www.horseshowsonline.com.2. If you do not have an account with Horseshows Online, near the top of the page click on “Member Services.” Otherwise, log in to your account and go to step # 10.3. Near the lower left hand side of the page, click on “Click here to create a new account.” 4. Click “Next”.Fill out the information requested. Click on the “I agree to the terms of service” box. Click “Next.”6. Choose a log-on id and password. Type the code as shown and click “Next.”7. You now have an account. Click the link “Click here to go to member login page.”8. Log in to your account.9. Click the tab that says “My People, Horses, Shows.”10. Add as many people and horses as you need to in order to enter. This includes all horses that you intend to show, their owners, riders and trainers. These will stay on your account, so you only need to create them once - after that you will have them stored for future shows.11. Once you have all your people and horses created, click the tab that says “My Show Entries.”12. Click the button that says “Enter a Show - Create New Online Entry.”13. Select the show you would like to enter.

You are now through with the difficult part of using this system. All you need to do is follow along the instructions and choose the horse, owner, trainer and rider for each entry. The next screen will allow you to choose your classes. The screen after that will allow you to select how many stalls that you need, order shavings and even sign up your non-showing horse.

When you are through with the fees screen, the next screen will allow you to review your entry information and check to be sure it is correct. When you are sure that it is, click the next button to submit it to the show. The next screen will allow you to print a copy of the entry for your records. Please drop me an email, text or give me a call if you have any problems with the process. I’ll be happy to help with any issues. If you make any mistakes on your entry, do not create a duplicate entry, either e-mail me with the correct information, or just let me know when you check in at the horse show. It’s all fixable.

LEADLINEFor 7 and under riders. May not cross enter into any other class at the show. An adult or older child leads the horse in-hand while the rider is judged on his/her equitation.

MINI STIRRUPOpen to non-professional riders. May not cross enter into any other over fence class at the same OHJA recognized competition. Riders are judged on their equitation at the walk, walk/trot, and walk/trot over poles. There is no champion award for this division.

WALK-TROT CROSSBAREntries will trot a course of cross rails at 12”, twice around the outside. Open to non-professional riders who have not competed in classes in classes 2’6 or higher at any HJEO, GO, OHJA, or USEF recognized show. Not to canter in the under saddle. WALK-TROT-CANTER CROSSBAREntries will ride a course of eight cross rails at 12”. Riders may canter OR trot into the lines and canter out, with consistency strongly emphasized. Open to non-professional riders who have not competed in classes in classes 2’6 or higher at any HJEO, GO, OHJA, or USEF recognized show. Not to canter in the under saddle.

PLEASURE DIVISIONOpen to all non-professional riders. To be judged on performance with emphasis on manners and suitability. May be asked to halt and back. Entries in the Hunter Hack class will walk, trot and canter both ways of the ring and will then be asked to jump two fences and demonstrate the halt. Fences 18”.

T.I.P. VERY GREEN THOROUGHBRED HUNTER DIVISIONFences not to exceed 2’0” in height. Shall consist of three classes—two (2) over fences and one (1) under saddle. Ribbons for 1st through 6th place for each class and Champion/Reserve ribbons will be provided. T.I.P. Championships Qualifying division.

ACADEMY SHORT/LONG STIRRUP HUNTER AND EQUITATIONOpen to non-professional riders that:- have not competed in any classes with fences 2’6” or higher at any HJEO, OHJA, or US Equestrian recognized shows. - have not been awarded a champion or reserve champion year end award by HJEO in short stirrup, long stirrup or academy short/long stirrup hunter or equitation divisions. -are showing on an academy horse (as described in HJEO constitution section 13)Fence heights are not to exceed 18”. Trotting jumps or lead changes is not to be penalized. Cantering is prohibited in under saddle classes. To be judged on manner of going, jumping style, correct pace, and organization. No boxes, fill or oxers.

OPEN 2’ HUNTER AND EQUITATIONHunter classes to professional and non-professional riders. Fence heights are not to exceed 2’. Trotting lead changes is not to be penalized. Cantering is prohibited in under saddle classes. Equitation classes open only to non professional riders who have not competed in any classes with fences 2’6” or higher at any HJEO, OHJA, or US Equestrian recognized shows. This is an open division created for green horses and/or green riders not yet ready to move up to the 2’3” height. To be judged on manner of going, jumping style, and suitability for the beginner hunter ring. Because this is an open division, correct leads and a consistent number of strides may be considered, but simple lead changes are not be be penalized. No boxes, fill or oxers.

2’3” VERY LOW HUNTERFences 2’3”. Open to all riders of any age.

BEGINNER HUNTER AND EQUITATIONOpen to non-professional riders that:- have not competed in any classes with fences 2’6” or higher at any HJEO, OHJA, or US Equestrian recognized shows. - have not been awarded a champion or reserve champion year end ward by HJEO in begin-ner or academy beginner hunter or equitation divisions. Fence heights 2’3”. No oxers. This should be judged like all other hunter divisions, except that special consideration must be given to older, shorter-strided horses who can no longer do the step comfortably. On these types of horses, the add step may be acceptable at judge’s discretion. Flying changes are expected.

ACADEMY BEGINNER HUNTER AND EQUITATIONOpen to non-professional riders that:- have not competed in any classes with fences 2’6” or higher at any HJEO, OHJA, or US Equestrian recognized shows. - have not been awarded a champion or reserve champion year end award by HJEO in be-ginner or academy beginner hunter or equitation divisions. -are showing on an academy horse (as described in HJEO constitution section 13)Fence heights 2’3”. Trotting lead changes is not to be penalized. No Oxers. Same specs as beginner, except that simple changes are not to be penalized. This division was created for school horses, so that they may compete against each other on a more level playing field. In the event that the beginner and academy beginner are combined, the judge will be informed which horses qualify as academy horses, and those horses will be judged accordingly and will not be penalized for simple changes.If Academy Beginner division does not make at any given horse show, may be combined with Beginner division but judged as Academy Beginner (i.e. trotting lead changes acceptable).

T.I.P. SPECIAL THOROUGHBRED HUNTERSEligible horses must provide T.I.P. Numbers to event organizer with entry. For more informa-tion, visit www.tjctip.com. Must present proof of registration when checking in. Fences not to exceed 2’6” in height. Shall consist of three classes—two (2) over fences and one (1) under saddle. Jump courses should consist of at least seven (7) jumps, to be judged on manners, pace and way of going unless otherwise noted. Under saddle class to be judged at the walk, trot and canter in both directions, and to be judged on manners, movement and way of going. Ribbons for 1st through 6th place for each class and Champion/Reserve ribbons will be pro-vided. T.I.P. Championships Qualifying division.

MODIFIED CHILDREN’S/ADULT HUNTER AND EQUITATIONOpen to non-professional riders. Fence heights 2’9”.

LOW HUNTER & NON-PRO EQUITATIONFences 3’ 0”. Open to all riders of any age. Equitation Non-Pro Only.

OPEN HUNTERFences 3’3”. Open to all riders of any age.

OHJA 3’ MEDAL Open to OHJA and HJEO Junior and Amateur riders. At least three must complete the course. Consists of 8 jumps w/2 changes of direction. Fences 3”, spreads not to exceed 3”. Testing of top two to six riders required. USEF Test 1-14.

HJEO MINI MEDALTo be shown over a figure 8 course with fences to 2’6”. Equitation only to count. Rider must be HJEO member. This class is designed for beginner and intermediate riders. The winners shall be qualified for the annual ride-off. Three must be entered and shown to count.

HJEO HUNTERTo be shown over a 2’6” figure 8 course. This class is designed for beginner and intermediate riders and is open to all non-professional members of HJEO on horses owned by HJEO mem-bers. Three must be entered and shown for this class to count.

HJEO 2’6”-2’9” HANDY HUNTER CHALLENGE / DERBY SERIESOpen to non-pros only. There will be several Handy Hunter Challenges and/or Derbies throughout the year held at the various farms during or the day after their schooling shows. These events will be run at 2’6” and 2’9” to be judged together. Handy Hunter Challenges and Derbies will not have combinations or any lines shorter than a 4 stride to allow for ponies and horses that need to do the added step. If held as a Derby, first round of the derby to be a hunter round; 2nd round to be a handy hunter. Derbies held at schooling shows every entry will do both rounds, but only points from the handy round will count toward year end awards. Points are accrued by the horse for the year end derby, meaning another rider can ride that horse in the year end derby. Points earned are cumulative and translate into dollars to be sub-tracted from the entry fee for the year end derby. (50 pts. during derby series=$50 off final derby entry). Points thru 8th place (ribbons thru 6th at the schooling shows) broken down as follows 15, 12, 10, 6, 4, 3, 2, 1. All non-placing participants get 1 pt. 1-8th place also re-ceives 1 point for each entry in the class. Can show in final derby even if no points accrued throughout the year. Horse/ rider combinations who have competed in any class with fences 3’3 or higher or in derbies or classics with prize monies over $5000.00 at an HJEO, OHJA, or USEF recognized show are not eligible to compete. There will be an award given at the HJEO banquet for the high point derby series champion.

PUDDLE JUMPER.75 to .85 Meter.
