Thought about putting this one in,

decided against it in case it embarrassed

you... Hee hee. Hope it didn’t. .Oops too

late.

This newsletter Profiles two well known Identities. Stuart and Mirth Morris. Stuart started

bowling at Finley Bowls Club in NSW in 1964 and was coached by his Father Burton Morris.

Stuart excelled as an athlete in his teens winning Trophies aplenty for Cricket and football. He

was a Farmers son and worked along side his Father for many years. During his lengthy bowl-

ing career he has covered every position including President, Coach, Umpire and Committee

Member, and has been successful in every Championship winning many Titles, including

singles no less than 9 times since 1977. Nice going for a man off the land who owned a hard-

ware store and bus run and finished his working career Manager of a True Value Store. Then

along came Mirth, who has been playing bowls for about 7 years, and just guess who Coached

her in the beginning, turns out he was such a good Coach that she agreed to be his Bride on

21st April, 2007. Mirth was previously a Champion Ballroom Dancer, winning many titles and

even danced in the World Championships in Melbourne, she ran her own Dance Studio and

also had a passion for buying and renovating old houses. Together Stuart and Mirth love caravanning and fishing

and they share 14 Grandchildren. Oh and for the few who haven’t heard Mirth’s fav T.V. Show is “The Bold and

the Beautiful” So never never phone her at 4.30 p.m. She also owns more cook books than Jamie Oliver. Hey Stu?

The Happy Couple

Life Members

Hi Folks, What a successful Easter raffle. 23

prizes and selling at a $1.00 per ticket, we made

$500.00. Thank you for a great response and the

girls said they were only too happy to donate not

only the Easter eggs , but also the baskets, paper

and appropriate decorations.. The results are on

the ladies Board and I notified and thanked the

Thursday Bowlers for their support. See you on

the Green. Regards Dot

See tiny fingers & tiny toes. Bright baby eyes and a cute little nose. Time marches on but some things remain the same.

Well Bowlers, the top green is

starting to get some good

coverage, so just maybe, we will

be playing on it sooner than we

thought, well done to Mark who

has been patiently and expertly

taking good care of things. We

had a good trip to the Tweed

and next year we plan to win the

money. Trust me I’m a school

boy I know nothing about tell-

ing fibs yet. Happy Bowling.

Kev.

Thank you all for

your kind donations

I used to lose things all the

time too, then I had this zipper

put in.
