CABINET SECRETARY NATIONAL TREASURY APPROVES

RECRUITMENT OF 214 STAFF FOR ODPP.

Cabinet secretary Mr. Henry Rotich has authorized the ODPP to

recruit additional 200 prosecution counsel and 14 non-legal staff utilizing

the 300 million Kenya shillings allocated during the supplementary

estimate.

This is in addition to the 415 (314 prosecution counsel and 74 non

legal staff) which Mr. Rotich had approved in Feb 2014 currently being

advertised.

This brings the ongoing recruitment for the ODPP to 629.
