CABA BOARD OF DIRECTORS
CABA CLASSIC CREW
WELCOMEWELCOMEThe CABA Board of Directors is very pleased to welcome everyone to the 2015 CABA Classic Show!
The Classic Crew has earned a well-deserved reputation for running a superb, user-friendly, educational alpaca show which showcases some of the best alpacas in the United States. Most of the alpacas in attendance this weekend have been produced by the alpaca breeders in our region and their excellent quality is testament to the hard work and countless hours that these breeders have put into developing their programs. Many of these alpacas compete very well in major shows across the country.
The CABA Board would like to thank ALL of the show’s participants, from each exhibitor, each attendee and visitor, each vendor, each volunteer and each sponsor. This show cannot exist without the financial support that our sponsors provide. This show would not exist without the hours and hours of hard work from our volunteers. As they say, “It takes a village…” and in the case of the CABA Classic, it takes a village of alpaca enthusiasts to sustain our show. We are very grateful to everyone. Please enjoy the show!

CABA CLASSIC 2015 FLEECE SHOW AND SHOWCASE
At the CABA Classic we judge our fleeces before the halter show. This allows us to put them on display throughout the halter show, giving visitors and exhibitors the chance to see all the fleeces post judging to evaluate results without rushing. Most importantly, they get time to talk with the fleece judge if they wish, which gives the exhibitor an invaluable educational opportunity. This is also great exposure for the farms that enter our show. Each fleece will be given a classy label identifying the farm that submitted the entry.
Level II
Fleece Show Superintendents: Cindy Whitlock
Sponsored by Mountain Jewel Farm, Easy Go Farm & Melhay Farm Alpacas
Fleece Judge: Cheryl GehlyCheryl is revered as one of the world’s best fleece judges. Due to the unique timing of the fleece judging Cheryl will be available throughout the weekend for questions and conversation. Fleeces will be displayed throughout the weekend in the Fleece Showcase. This is a unique marketing opportunity for the exhibitors but also a great learning opportunity for visitors to the show.

Apocalypse’s Hemiaccoyo Humvee II is a third generation offspring from the breeding program of Timberland Alpacas. Humvee II is the latest male to join the Timberland Alpacas stable of herd sires and his first crias are due this 2015 season. Humvee II carries an impressive pedigree, with multiple championship lineages from sire, Victor’s Hemiaccoyo Apocalypse and dam, Hemingway’s Hemiaccoyo Hannah. Both parents are champions in their own right. Apocalypse has been one of Timberland’s most prepotent herd sires, producing many champion offspring, including medium fawn Judge’s Choice winner and multiple champion, Apocalypse’s Hemiaccoyo Coppertop. Humvee II is the splitting image of his sire Apocalypse, and standing side by side in the same pasture, the son is identical to the father.
Humvee II’s show record is impressive. He has won Champions and Reserve Champions in both halter and fleece along with many first places. Even after retirement from the show ring, Humvee II has continued to excel in Fleece Show competition, winning repeatedly in all age categories, from Juvenile “A”, Yearling “B”, Two Yr. Old “C” and Adult “D”. In every age category, his scores for fineness/handle have never been lower than 19 out of 20 points, with two 19.5 and one perfect 20!
As a Two Year Old in the age “C” category, Humvee II won the Light Male Champion Fleece in the 2012 AOBA National Fleece Show. His fleece scores were:
