The proposed purchase and redevelopment of 124 Burnet Ave by Jacob Hanford will
be an adaptive reuse of this facility. The property consists of four (4) distinct
structures/buildings. (A) showroom/jazz club, event 1-story, (B) tower 4-story, (C)
warehouse/manufacturing half-story and (D) Victorian office 2-story. These buildings
are in an industrial legacy corridor and have been used for industrial purposes until the
present day.
It is the intent of this redevelopment to consider continued light industrial/warehousing
uses in portions of the buildings, currently CabFab and Farmshed. The showroom is
being used as a jazz club/event space. The Victorian section is partially occupied by
the CabFab office. The tower's 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors are unoccupied as is the 2nd
floor of the warehouse building. In the short term, these uses will continue. The
underutilized/unoccupied areas will be developed into studio and one bedroom loft
apartments and some creative live/work space will be considered. In the longer term,
2-3+ years more of the building(s) will be developed into residential uses.
