AES256 ENCRYPTION ENHANCEMENT


CA 7 R11.3 now supports communication with CA WA Agents using AES

256-bit encryption. Encryption definitions in the IASCRYPT DD may now

have 64-character keys and specify TYPE(AES256) to indicate to use the

larger encryption type. Agent definitions should point to these new

encryption definitions.

This enhancement requires an update to CA IAS R11.0 and CA 7 R11.3 and

that an agent using AES256 be defined to the instance.

The CA7TOUNI pre-conversion utility does not accept JCL INCLUDE

statements, nor does it accept SET statements that span lines or SET

statements containing multiple name/value pairs on a single line.

Code will be updated to support valid SET statements. Code will

also be updated to support simple INCLUDE statement processing

as follows:

1) Nested INCLUDE statements will not be processed. For

example if INCLUDE MEMBER(A) has a JCL statement for

INCLUDE MEMBER(B), the job will fail pre-conversion

processing. As long as the INCLUDE member does not

nest other INCLUDE statement, it will be processed.

2) The INCLUDE member must reside in a library that is

part of a JCLLIB statement that is part of the CA7TOUNI

JCL. The utility will not search JES2 PROCLIBs or

the **JOBPARM PROCLIB= keyword value.

SASSDT10 - EXCESSIVE DBT BATCH RUN TIMES


The DBT process can experience a long run time for

CA 7 data bases that are large. This can be caused

by the automatically generated RQMT and TRIG

commands for the BTI steps. These commands are not

usually needed, and this change will cause them to

not be generated. If there are any concerns about

possible data base pointer problems, then you can

run a separate BTI with just the RQMT and TRIG

commands.

SYMPTOMS:

Excessive DBT processing time.

When a job has been converted from an XPJOB to an AGENT job type

the LJOB display for the resulting job can be incomplete

if it has 50 or more requirements. The job definition is correct,

it is just not displayed correctly with LJOB.

LJOB command is not showing the Agent information of a converted

XPJOB.

This will only occur if you are converting an XPJOB with more than

50 requirements or more.
