Sesame Street’s first ever spinoff, The Furchester Hotel, is a new television series featuring iconic characters Elmo and Cookie Monster, and introducing a close-knit family of cheerfully incompetent monsters who run an almost-world-class hotel.
The Furchester Hotel is:• Co-produced by Sesame Street and CBeebies, BBC’s
#1 preschool children’s channel• Produced in Manchester, England• Features 52 eleven-minute episodes• Targets children ages three- to six-years-old• Premieres on CBeebies in the UK in fall 2014• International roll-out happens spring 2015
The series promotes and builds creative problem solving. In each episode, the Furchesters work together, persevere, and try new ideas. “Let’s put our furry heads together and think!” and “A Furchester never gives up!” are two phrases often cheered at the hotel. A satisfying solution—no matter how silly—is guaranteed to arise.

Phoebe Furchester-Fuzz
Phoebe is the feisty, emotional center of the show. She is a strong and unflappable seven-year-old who often runs the hotel while her parents are otherwise occupied. She speaks many animal languages, and takes her younger cousin Elmo under her wing. Phoebe’s special skeleton key necklace opens every door in the hotel.
Funella Furchester
She’s warm-hearted, adores her family and is very theatrical.
Her signature greeting is “We welcome you with furry arms!”
She wants more than anything for guests to be happy, and will go to any length to ensure Furchester hospitality standards are met.
Furgus Fuzz
Furgus puts the eager in beleaguered. He wears many hats in the hotel—none of them well.
Isabel
Isabel is the furriest hotel bell in the business. She alerts the Furchesters to arrivals, guest requests, and catastrophes.
Elmo
Phoebe’s three and a half-year-old exuber-ant monster cousin is on an extended visit.
Elmo is in awe of the hotel and all it has to offer -- lift buttons to push, phones to answer, and friends to make.
Cookie Monster
Cookie Monster has landed his dream job as room service and dining room waiter.
Guests often wonder why their main courses never arrive.
