1 Background of the Application C1 Mobile Search is a PDA application which is used to retrieve information about a specific medical product. Professional Sales Representatives (PSR) can use this application to query for a product's relevant details/applications. C1 Mobile Search functions like a search engine (e.g. Google), where a keyword or a combination of different keywords will yield to a list of answers that are ranked in terms of keyword precision. Background of the Application

C1 Mobile Search is a PDA application which is used to retrieve information about a specific medical product. Professional Sales Representatives (PSR) can use this application to query for a product's relevant details/applications. C1 Mobile Search functions like a search engine (e.g. Google), where a keyword or a combination of different keywords will yield to a list of answers that are ranked in terms of keyword precision.

Accessing the Application

PDA:

1. Switch on your PDA. 2. Tap on Start > Internet Explorer.

3. In the address bar enter: https://c1mobile.unilab.com.ph/

mobilesearch/lri

4. Tap on Go. 5. Enter User name, Password and Domain, then tap on OK.

Note: •••• C1 Mobile and C1 Mobile

search make use of the same username and password.

•••• Passwords expires every ninety (90) days.

•••• Passwords must contain at least ten (10) characters.

•••• A user cannot use the last five (5) previous passwords.

•••• The account will be locked after three (3) unsuccessful

password attempts.

6. Tap on Yes when asked about the security certificate.

7. You can now view the Home page of C1 Mobile Search which contains the following: A. Search Preferences: Contains the

list of options for searching two or more keywords.

• And – Keyword entries are treated as one combination. Ex: ms factor This will retrieve exact articles

about “ms factor”.

• Or – Keyword entries are treated separately. All the articles in relation to the keywords entered in the textbox will be retrieved.

Ex: ms factor

This will retrieve articles

related to “ms” and will also

retrieve articles related to

”factor”.

• All – All results of an "And" and an "Or" search method will be retrieved.

Ex: ms factor This will retrieve a

combination of both

methods

Parts of the Search Result Page

A. Search Field

To search for an article, just enter the keyword in the textbox then click on Search button. You can also use the search field box found at the bottom of the search page. B. Search button

Click on this button to submit search query. C. Search Preferences

D. Article Title

This is the title of the article/s found based on the keyword/s entered. E. Text Below Title

This is an excerpt from the result page with the keyword/s used highlighted in bold font. F. First Page

This link will show the first 10 articles. G. Previous Page

This link will show the previous 10 articles viewed. H. Next Page

This link will show the next 10 articles. I. Last Page

This link will show the last 10 or remaining articles. J. Statistics Bar

This line describes your search and indicates the total number of results.

Using Mobile Search

1. Key-in one or more related search terms (the words or phrase that best describe the information you want to find) into the search box.

2. Select any radio button below the search textbox if you want to change the search type.

3. Tap on the ‘Search’ button.

4. The list of related links will be viewed based on the keyword entered.

5. Tap on the article title to view the complete write-up.

6. Tap on Back button to return to the previous page with list of related links.

Search Methods

I. Single Keyword Query II. Multiple Keyword Query III. Capitalization

I. Single Keyword Query

Choose the exact or closest word is the key to finding the information you need. You can key-in the brand name if you’re looking for general information about the product. For example, Factor

II. Multiple Keyword Query

C1 Mobile Search uses stemming technology, which retrieves documents with word variations based on keywords entered. For example, a search on ms factor will retrieve links with ms and factor. Related terms will be highlighted in the snippet of text accompanying each result.

III. Capitalization

This search page is NOT case sensitive. Letters entered are treated as lower case. For example, searches for MS Factor, Ms factor, mS fAcToR will all return the same result.

Accessing Thru an Internet Cafe

1. Launch the Internet Explorer by

selecting the icon. 2. On the address bar enter:

3. If the security pop-up window appears, click on Ok.

4. Login window will appear. Please

enter the Username and Password. Enter the following information:

User name: unilab\<username>

Unilab Username Example: Juan D. Cruz Username: jdcruz

Ex: Username: unilab\jdcruz

Password: Your unilab network password

Note: Do not check the Remember my Password check box.

Adding Web Address to Favorites

for PDA

1. Open the page of the site you

wanted to add to your favorite. 2. Click on the Star button

found at the bottom of the screen.

3. Click on Add/Delete tab.

4. On Select an Item to delete click on Add button.

5. On Add Favorite window you

can specify the name of the web page, then click on Add button.

6. Click on Ok

Cleaning up the Cache

For security reasons, it is recommended to perform the following steps after accessing the application: PDA

1. Access the Internet Explorer 2. Open Tools > Options 3. Go to Memory > Tap on Clear History

and Delete Files 4. Go to Security > Tap on Clear

Cookies Internet Café (if possible) 1. Click on Tools > Internet Options. 2. Click on Delete Cookies, Delete Files,

Clear History.

Changing the Unilab Network

Password

1. Access any PC that is connected

to the Unilab network. This can be done using any of the

computers setup in the provincial depots or in any Unilab office.

2. Once the computer has been turned on, enter your Unilab network username and password. (If the system doesn’t

accept your password, please

call the NOSD helpdesk at

6318501 (Local 7878) and request

for your password to be reset.

You still have to perform steps 1-6

once your password has been

reset.)

3. Click on Ctrl+Alt+Del to view the Windows Security page.

4. Click on “Change Password”. 5. Type in the following information

a. User Name : Your Unilab network ID

b. Domain: Unilab

c. Old Password : Your old Unilab network password

d. New Password : Your new Unilab network password

e. Confirm New Password : Your new Unilab network password

Click on OK to effect the new password
