NEW MODELS INTRODUCED WITH ARCADIA ELECTRONICS - LED

Currently (October 2012) two new Console Interfaces have been introduced along with the Arcadia Electronics.

ARCADIA LED DRYER WITH 3 CONTROL KNOBS

ControlsTwo additional Control Knobs have been added to the usual Programme Dial and Option buttons. The Drying Levels Knob has 8 position, allowing up to 7 drying Levels, depending on the programme selected (see page 7). The 8th position AUTO, defaults the drying level to Cupboard Dry.The Timer Drying Knob allows Timed Dry Periods of 40-60-90-120-140-160-180 minutes.

The Heat and Enjoy CycleThis Cycle heats the clothes at body temperature 37 C, and runs until the customer cancels the cycle or opens the door (or if the cycle is left it times out after 4 hours).

The Heat LED flashes during the cycle and opening the door completes the cycle.

For Other Programmes and options see the EVO 2 Futura Manual.

NEW MODELS INTRODUCED WITH ARCADIA ELECTRONICS - DIGIT

ARCADIA DIGIT DISPLAY WITH HEAT LEVEL CONTROL

A New Digital Display Vented and Condenser Models with a New 3 Level Heat Button. The Arcadia Digital Display with Countdown Timer with Option and Warning Icons that illuminate when appropriate.

Empty Water Icon / Container Icon(If the dryer has been plumbed into a drain this icon can be ignored, as there is no need to empty the water container). When this icon is on it reminds you to empty the water container.

If the water container fills during a programme, the heater turns off and the dryer does a period of Cool Tumble then the buzzer sounds, the ‘water container full’ icon flashes, the display shows H20 and

the ‘Empty Water’ icon is on.You must empty the water container and restart the dryer or the clothes will not dry. After restarting the dryer the display will take a few seconds to refresh. To avoid this situation always empty the water container each time you use the dryer.

Heat and EnjoyThis Cycle Heats the Clothes at body temperature 37 C, and runs until the customer cancels the cycle or Opens the door. (or if the cycle is left it times out after 4 hours).

During the Heat & Enjoy Cycle the Small Heat icon is On permanently, the Large Icon Flashes and the Time to End Display is blank.

Pausing the cycle or opening the Door will end the Heat and Enjoy cycle.

Heat Settings

3 Heat ButtonSome of the Programmes allow all 3 heat level options (Low / Medium / High) to be selected, but this does not apply to all programmes. When the Heat Level options are available, pressing the Heat Level button repeatedly changes the Heat Level and Light corresponding to the selection.Three heat levels indicates three different front sensor target temperatures. e.g: Cotton cycle HH has 50°C of front target, while MH has 40°C and LH 30°C. It enables the user to choose a heat level suited to their clothes.

Note:On vented dryers the 50°C front temperature target is only reached at the end of the cycle, but this setting is necessary to switch on both heaters for all cycles and to reduce the cycle length. For other Programmes and Options see the EVO 2 Futura Manual or the relevant User Handbooks.

Automatic Drying - up to 7 LevelsThe Arcadia Electronic Programmes have up to 7 Drying Levels, Depending on Model and Programme Selected. The actual Drying Performance of the Automatic cycles and Dryness Levels would be affected by drying mixed loads, a load that is not suitable for the selected programme or a very small load.

Symbol Level DescriptionDamp Dry: the most delicate level which makes sure that your clothes are not dripping

any more. After a hand-wash the perfect level to then hang your clothes if you do not want to tumble dry them all the way to the end. Residual humidity 20%.

Iron Dry: a very delicate drying, with the highest residual humidity at 12%.It is useful for garments you would like to iron afterwards.

Hanger Plus: the residual humidity level is 9%.Just the perfect drying status to hang delicate curtains.

Hanger Dry: the residual humidity level is 6%.Just the perfect drying status to hang the garments up.

Light Dry: with 3% of residual moisture is ideal for delicate clothes to be folded and placed into the cupboard.

Cupboard Dry:

the garments are completely dry and are ready to be folded and placed into the cupboard 0%.

Ready to Wear:

the strongest level, used for clothes to be directly worn once the cycle is completed -3%.

DIGIT Display and Features

The Display has three main functions, each with its corresponding button.

After selecting a programme that has a Sensor Dry option, press and release the button until the requireddryness sensing level is displayed. If the sensing option is not available with your selected programme, thedisplay will flash and the buzzer will beep three times.! Some sensing programmes do not have all seven dryness level options available.

Dryness levels:

Damp Dry: Dries your items ready to be ironed using a machine or rotary ironer.

Iron Dry: Dries your items ready to be ironed with a hand iron.

Hanger Dry Plus: Dries your delicate items ready to be hanged for final drying.

Hanger Dry: Dries your items ready to be hanged for final drying.

Light Dry: Dries your delicate items ready to be put away.

Cupboard Dry: Dries your items ready to be put away.

After selecting a programme that has a Delay Timer option, a delay start time can be selected. Each press of the Delay Timer button advances the delay setting in 30 minutes increments fromto and then increments from to then and then after five seconds cancels thedelay. For delays of 10 hours or more the display counts down the time in hours until 10 hours, then thedisplay shows and then continues to count down in minutes. For delays 9 hours or less the display shows hours and minutes and then counts down in minutes forall of the delay. After the START/PAUSE button is pressed the delay time can be changed or cancelled. When the delay period finishes the delay icon is off and the Time To End is displayed.Note: During this period the clothes will tumble occasionally to prevent creases developing.

0:309:30 24h

Time to EndIf the delay icon is off the time displayed is the Time to End for the programme running. When timed programmes are selected the time displayed throughout the cycle is the actual time remaining. When Automatic programmes are selected the time displayed is an estimate of the time remaining: When theprogramme is selected the display shows the time required to dry a full load, after around 10 minutes the controllercalculates a better estimate of the cycle time and this is updated during the programme. The Time to End is displayed in hours and minutes and counts down each minute. The colons between the hours and minutes in the display flash to show the time is counting down. The display also shows if there is a problem with your dryer, if this occurs the display will show F followed by a faultcode number, the three option lights and the START/PAUSE light will also flash amber.

After selecting a programme that has a Timed Dry option, press the button and the Timed Dry icon willlight, the display will reduce the selected time each time you press and release this button. Each programme that has a timed option has different times available and the selection ofup to 11 drying times will also depend on the heat setting that your have selected.

Each press of the button decreases the drying time.If you change your mind, press the Sensor Dry button and the sensing level options are available.

If the Timed Dry option is not available the display will flash and the buzzer will beep three times. The selected time remains displayed after the programme starts and can be changed during the programme if you wish.

MODELS fitted WITH BPM MOTOR

SPECIFIC BPM PROGRAMMESThe BPM (Brushless Permanent Magnet) Motor is a variable speed motor controlled by the Module. There are 3 New Cycles available for models fitted with a BPM motor.1. DARK CYCLEThe Dark Cycle helps to maintain dark coloured clothes.By controlling the motor speed and drum rotation together with a lower drying temperature.Maximum 3kg Load of Jeans and Cottons:Programme ProfileFront target temperature reaches 40°C.Distribution Speed (70 rpm) once conductivity value is 3000 (15% humidity)Target Temperature during Distribution reaches 45°CEnd of Cycle Sensed by Conductivity Sensor + 10 min timed phaseCycle Target: dark garment care (less fading)Achievement: 22% less colour fade in jeans. Less lint on cotton fabric surface.

2. LESS FLUFF CYCLETarget: less fluff into filter after cotton cycles (compared with fixed motor speed machines)Distribution Speed once load = 15% humidity.

3. TURBO DRYAn extra fast drying cycle to dry cottons (i.e.: Cottons and Bed & Bath) by using the combination of high temperature and a special motor speed profile that takes advantage of our new Soft Motion motor system. The Turbo Cycle is for 7 Kg loads. Dries to Hanger dry dryness level (6%).Programme ProfileHeater: Both Elements are always onDrum Speed:58 rpm until conductivity Level reaches 120055 rpm until conductivity reaches 2000. 60 rpm until end cycle.Cycle End Condition: Conductivity sensor reading.
