MONROE — It will be ayear on Sunday since author-ities found the remains ofmissing Chelsea Bruck, andan investigation to identifyher killer continues.

Officials with both law en-forcement and the coroner’soffice declined this week tospecify how the 22-year-oldfrom Maybee,Mich., diedafter her dis-appearancefrom a largeHalloweenparty. An esti-mated 600people ormore at-tended the outdoor event.

Sgt. Jeff Pauli of the Mon-roe County Sheriff’s Officesaid a cause of death has notyet been determined.

“There is no ruling be-cause he’s not finished. It’sstill considered open,” Ser-geant Pauli said Tuesday.

A spokesman for theWayne County Medical Ex-aminer’s Office said autopsyresults remain pending anddeclined to comment further.A call to the Monroe CountyMedical Examiner’s Officewas not returned Tuesday.

Witnesses last saw Ms.

Bruck alive Oct. 26, 2014. Sheattended a party and rockconcert in the 3500 block ofPost Road in FrenchtownTownship before leavingwith an unidentified man.

Sergeant Pauli said by thatpoint in the party, about 3a.m., many had left and therewas little light beyond a bon-fire.

An exhaustive searchfound portions of her PoisonIvy costume April 5, 2015, atan abandoned industrial sitein Flat Rock, Mich., about 15miles away. On April 24, herremains were discovered in awooded area near Carleton,Mich.

21, 2009, while on shift atLewis Carryout, 4252 LewisAve.

Police describe the suspectas a black man, about 5 feet,10 inches to 6 feet tall, andwith black hair. He was of thin

build, possibly about 160pounds. The man wore ablack hooded sweatshirt withblack pants. He was believedto be in his early 20s at thetime of the killing.

Pair indicted inoverdose death

BOWLING GREEN — TwoWood County residents wereindicted Thursday for their al-leged roles in a Perrysburgman’s overdose death.

Austen Robertson, 21, ofPerrysburg and Alexis De LosReyes, 19, of North Baltimoreeach were indicted by a WoodCounty grand jury for involun-tary manslaughter and recklesshomicide stemming from theJan. 11 death of AlexanderSabatino, 24.

Their cases have been as-signed to Wood County Com-mon Pleas Judge Reeve Kelsey.

Toledoan heldin gang-relatedshootings of 2

A Toledo man has been in-dicted by a Lucas Countygrand jury on charges that heshot two men in the head.

Delontae Winters, 19, of the1700 block of Pilgrim Road,was indicted Thursday on twocounts of attempted murder,both with specifications claim-ing he used a firearm and wasa gang member. He also wasindicted on a single count oftaking part in a criminal gang.

Winters is accused in theDec. 22 shootings of HaroldLewis, 20, and Hugh Williams,Jr., 18, who were found by po-lice in a car in the 1900 block ofMilburn Avenue. Both hadbeen shot in the head. Wintersis believed to have been in theback seat when he shot them.
