Dear Resident CITYLINK TULLA WIDENING: ROAD CLOSURE AND LARGE HEAVY VEHICLE TRANSPORTATION TO NEARBY WORK SITE – 7 MAY 2016 We would like to advise you that we will be using Kernan Street via Parker Street and Hayes Parade to transport a piling rig to our nearby work site. We will be in your street on Saturday 7 May 2016 between 7am and 9pm. As the piling rig is a large vehicle, we would like to advise residents not to park along Kernan Street, Parker Street or Hayes Parade during this time. Please note due to the size of the piling rig it will not be possible to pass whilst it moves down your street therefore access to houses and driveways will be affected for a short time. As you may be aware, work on the CityLink Tulla Widening project is underway and involves adding lanes and other measures to improve the flow of traffic across the 24 kilometre section of freeway from the CityLink tunnels to Melbourne Airport. The project will also provide travel time savings per trip between Melbourne Airport and the West Gate Freeway during peak periods. Generally, an additional lane is being added in each direction, as well as upgrades at key interchanges including Bell Street, Mount Alexander Road/Flemington Road and on the Bolte Bridge to West Gate Freeway entry ramp. CPB Contractors is the construction contractor for the Bulla Road to Power Street section of the project. What the works involve We will be slowly transporting a piling rig along Kernan Street via Parker Street and Hayes Parade to our nearby work site. A piling rig is a large and heavy construction vehicle that is used to drill into ground surfaces to create deep building foundations for heavy load infrastructure such as bridges. Our construction team will be positioning the piling rig alongside the Moonee Ponds Creek Bridge. We expect that it will take approximately two hours to unload and transport and position the piling rig in place. It will be located onsite for the duration of piling works. Where we will be

Dear Resident

CITYLINK TULLA WIDENING: ROAD CLOSURE AND LARGE HEAVY VEHICLE TRANSPORTATION TO NEARBY WORK SITE – 7 MAY 2016

We would like to advise you that we will be using Kernan Street via Parker Street and Hayes Parade to transport a piling rig to our nearby work site.

Where we will be The piling rig will be slowly transported along Parker Street, Hayes Parade and Kernan Street as shown in the red dotted line in the map below. The vehicle will be transported between 7am and 9pm.

We will also be closing parts of Parker Street at Gaffney Street while we unload the Piling rig. Once the rig passes the roundabout we will open part of the road again after the float departs.
