A Note From Our President:
Thank you to all who attended the 2018 awards banquet this year! It was one of our most successful ones since years past. Huge shout out to all who helped out with the banquet and awards. This includes cooking food, setting up, tearing down, planning decor, ordering awards, making certificates, and so much more. Without our banquet and awards committee we just couldn't make it happen! Please make sure you thank the members of these committees for all their hard work and dedication to our club. I'm already looking forward to next years banquet, but first we have to start with the 2019 season. Spring is fast approaching which means show season is just around the corner! Make sure to mark your calendars for the Spring Double Point held April 5th-7th. Check out the website for more information. This will be the first official show of the season. Please make sure to give Wade thanks for all his hard work as show manager. He plans out the ENTIRE show which is no small task and it has been months in the making. There are just a few winter warm up shows available so make sure to attend the ones you can and work out the winter kinks! Permanent number and membership forms are available on the website and make sure to take a look at all the new declaration forms for the coming year. If you have any questions about the new declarations please make sure to contact myself or Deneen Phillips. I look forward to kicking off the show season and seeing everyone everyone in April! General Membership Meeting: 3-6 -2019 Mr. Vi’s Caldwell General membership Meeting: 3-6 -2019 Mr. Vi’s Caldwell The meeting called to order by President Patricia Shuster Attendance: Patricia, Dwayne, Felicia, Amy, Jane, Wade, Bonnie, Anne, Rylene, Carolyn, Pam, Tami, Lois, Shawn, Brianne, Stacie, Tim, Deneen, LindaMinutes: Were approved after they were read. .Bonnie /Felicia moved. Approved. Treasurers Report: The regular account has $4,327.31. The scholarship account has $4,773.51. The double point account has $7,200.66. The fund raiser show brought in $479.68. The audit will be completed 3-9-2019. Committee Reports: Banquet committee: Deneen thanked all the people who helped & those that attended. The banquet was a big success, there were about 160 people in attendance. The silent auction was one of biggest money makers in years bringing in $1,012.00 (some payments still outstanding), ticket sales $1,492, award donations $325.00. The banquet was a lot of work for a few people, if we do this venue for 2020 we need more committees. We truly appreciated all the help & donations. Awards committee: Trish explained the new awards sheets proposed by the committee. Some new ideas were presented & much discussion followed. Please get your sheets & go over the system, get your horse registered. A new idea was a nomination for some all-around horses in specific categories. You really need to look the sheets over & determine what classes you want to participate in. Double point show: Wade said the show is pretty much a go. Patterns being finalized. Wade will need help so please volunteer. Continued on next page

PRB/LOC: Tim Phillips reported nothing new. Rule book is top priority. Tim suggested all rules changes be routed to [email protected].
Scholarship Fund: $4,773.00 This year we have had $1,240.00 worth of permanent numbers purchased. $670.00 is from the banquet, the rest is from mail in. We have had about 14 new numbers purchased this year. Last day to claim your last year’s permanent
number will be at Double Point (ideally you purchase it before showing with it) Website (Tish): Lots of updates. Instead of “show info” tab we now have “show schedule” tab and each show listed links to the show bill. We now have a tab for
patterns. Each show will have its own tab and each patterned class (i.e. SMS, HMS, EQ) has its own link for all age group patterns. Combined a few tabs and moved things
around to make more user friendly. Now have a “show manager tools” tab where class list, judges list, judge’s cards, etc. Added a year end results tab and a yearend banquet
tab.Points: Waiting on software provider to finish network upgrade and provide training and
access.Old Business: New judges list is finalized & on the website.
New business: Next meeting April 10 at Mr V’s in Caldwell. This is after the double point show.
