Feeding a bear, or allowing one to eat your trash, is a death sentence for a bear. Secure your trash, feed pets indoors and feed birds only during winter. Clean BBQs aſter each use. Lock trash dumpsters and put trash out the morning of pickup. Bears that seek food from human sources will be killed. Be part of the solution, keep your food away from bears! KEEP AWAY FROM MOOSE Moose see all dogs as predators and will attack aggressively if you and your dog get too close. Moose are common in this area. ey are great to watch, but they can be very dangerous. Keep your distance and NEVER let your dog approach a moose! If a moose charges you, run and put a tree or other object between you and the moose. MOUNTAIN LIONS ARE PREDATORS Mountain lions typically stay away from people, but as a precaution, keep your pets on a leash and supervise your children. Be extra cautious at dusk and dawn. If you see one, do not run away. If it approaches, talk firmly or throw rocks or other objects. If it attacks, fight back aggressively.
