Those with a current, acve and unrestricted licensure or cerficaon in healthcare - RNs, LPN/LVNs, LCSWs, LMSWs, LPCs and others may pursue eligibility.

To gain eligibility, candidates must pursue one of the following processes:

1. 1. Submit a signed job descripon, resume and educaonal background that aests to their knowledge of managed care overview, healthcare economics, healthcare management, & paent issues. Approval reviews are performed on a quarterly basis by the ABMCN BoaABMCN Board of Directors.

2. Candidates can complete the Home Study course provided by the American Associaon of Managed Care Nurses (AAMCN).

The exam consists of 200 mulple choice quesons that test your knowledge in the areas of:

• Case Management• Ulizaon Management• Quality Improvement & Management • Disease Management• Mana• Managed Care Models, Contracng, Products, & Reimbursement • Government Programs• Paent Issues

The exam is administered by an eligible proctor within a 4-hour tesng window. The exam fee is $250.

To keep your cerficaon current, you must submit 25 contact hours of approved connuing educaon and $55 every 3 years. Nursing CEs, academic courses, self study courses, conference aendance, and workshops may be considered for cerficaon renewal.
