CI3T CornerMiddle school is a tough age developmentally. Your studentsare learning to build complex relationships while their socialbrain is constantly building new connects.Horseplay is a continual challenge for some students atChase. Many times students have been suspended for ghtingand the students say they were “just playing” and thensomeone got angry. Pushing/shoving/horseplay can and doeslead to much more serious problems. People have beenaccidentally injured by others who were “just playing”.At Chase, “just playing” goes against the philosophy of a safeand orderly environment and those students involved in thesetypes of incidents will face disciplinary action. Please remind your student about horseplay and that it oftencan lead to bigger concerns.

CMS School PlayCome join us November 1st and 2nd at 6:30 PM in StateStreet's Auditorium as Chase Middle School presents a night ofone act plays! The advanced performing arts class will beperforming their one act play Cut by Ed Monk followed by theall-school fall play Orange is the New Glass by Tyler Dwiggins. There will be an intermission in between shows. In Cut, a group of actors rehearses a play within a play within aplay. As the plot complications multiply, the actors begin toforget who is playing whom and who is the real director-- asopposed to the actor who is playing the director, or vice versa. Then they can't seem to remember who they really are, asopposed to the people they are playing in any of the various scripts. Then things start to getconfusing.... Orange is the New Glass takes place in a fairy-tale kingdom obsessed with pop culture andsocial media, fairy godmothers are lawyers and the the Three Little Pig-arazzi chasecelebritites. But when Cinderella leaves her self-absorbed prince and winds up in jail with anunlikely girl squad, she doesn't just cause a sensation--she starts a revolution.A warmheartedcomedy full of clever characters. .

We appreciate your continued support.
