Lance Buser has been hired as an Employee BenefitsConsultant. Buser’s previous experience includes being a SalesRepresentative for State Farm Insurance, Asset Protection Ltd, CountryFinancial, and Monico Insurance. In addition, he worked as a MasterCasualty Claims Representative for Nationwide Insurance Company,where he was recognized for outstanding customer service and production.
Buser earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania StateUniversity and a Certificate in Risk Management/Insurance fromGannon University. He also holds a Pennsylvania state license for life,accident, and health insurance, as well as a property and casualtyinsurance license.
Buser’s charitable activities have included participating in St. Jude’sWalk/Run, the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, and the AutismSociety’s Autism Awareness Walk. In addition, he has done volunteerwork for St Marys’ Food Bank, the Habitat for Humanity, and thenonprofit Wesbury Retirement Community.
Jason Aston has been promoted to the position of Vice President,Agent Services and Human Resources. Before joining Swift Kennedy in 2015, Aston was a sales representative for both AFLAC andInsphere Insurance Solutions. Prior to that, he worked for 6 years as a secondary school mathematics teacher for the Curwensville area school district.
Aston, a resident of DuBois who has lived in the Clearfield County area since 1999, holds a bachelor’s degree in secondary education and mathematics from Pennsylvania State University.
Aston’s volunteer work has included serving as an assistant gymteacher for Camp Confidence, which helps children with disabilities,and volunteering at local events through the DuBois Chamber ofCommerce.

Supported by grants and thecommunity, the clinic was founded to help those who may not seek medical attention orpreventative care because of out-of-pocket costs.
Individuals who live in Clearfield, Jefferson and Elk counties, have no health insurance orare underinsured, and meet household income levels may make an appointment at ourdowntown DuBois office to complete an eligibility application. We will review the financial guidelines with them, then ask them to bring their lastfederal tax return, proof of income (last pay stub or benefit letters), Medicaid denialletter if available, and state ID to their appointment.

PENN HIGHLANDS HEALTHCARE ANNOUNCES VIRTUALWALK/FUN RUN EVENT IN
MEMORY OF DR. GARY DUGANDuBOIS (August 13, 2020) – Penn Highlands Healthcare has opened registration for its annual walk and “fun run” inmemory of Dr. Gary DuGan, the late chief medical officer of the regional health system.
This year’s race will be held virtually, with participants able to complete their race anytime between Saturday,September 12 at 12:00 AM and Sunday, September 20 at 11:59 PM. (Participants may also register throughSeptember 20.) “While it’s always been exciting to participate in the live race in memory of Dr. DuGan, we hopethis year’s virtual race offers added flexibility that will inspire even more of the community to participate,” saysDanyell Bundy, Penn Highlands Healthcare Fund Development Manager of Major Gifts. “Dr. DuGan was a respecteddoctor, as well as a family man,” Bundy adds. “As our health system continues to grow, we’re grateful for the waythe community celebrates his legacy and all he contributed at Penn Highlands.
”To welcome families and participants of all ages, Penn Highlands offers three registration categories: a kids’ one-mile “fun run,” free or donor’s choice amount, as well as a 5K for $10 and a 10K for $15. Please note registrationwill require payment processing fees.
An added feature of this year’s virtual race is the basket raffle, for which the public may purchase tickets for $5per six chances. Dr. DuGan is remembered for his many contributions at Penn Highlands Healthcare, in particular as an integralfigure in developing the health system’s Graduate Medication Education (GME) program, to which all proceedsfrom the race will go. The Penn Highlands GME program offers medical students and recent medical schoolgraduates opportunities for rotations and one-on-one time with attending physicians, helping to equip familymedicine residents with the inpatient and outpatient training they need to prepare to meet the demands of ruralhealth care.

State College, PA: Following a temporary suspension of the Daily Departure/interline bus service due to the COVID-19 shut-downs and restrictions, The Fullington Auto Bus Company is pleased to announce that we will resume partial service onFriday, August 28.
Many members of our communities rely on this public transportation service and some have been extremely challenged forquite some time in moving to necessary destinations. Fullington will be taking a cautious approach at resuming service,including limited seating on all schedules, the requirement of masks by drivers and passengers, and enhanced cleaning anddisinfection procedures (please see our video posted on our website: http://www.fullingtontours.com/pages/covid19).
