Rail scale can have any length between 12...60 meters, length achieved by combining 5, 6, 7 meters active weighing modules and their positioning at a variable distance between 0 / 3..6 meters (inactive area enclosed in square brackets).

Dimensioning is done by optimizing active weighing modules settlement, alternating with inactive areas between them, in order to achieve a configuration capable of weighing a minimum wagon train loose.

The calculation requires bogie axis to be positioned as close to the center of module. According to Instruction 314 of norms and tolerances for the track construction and maintenance, it is forbidden to have coupons of rail under 3 meters. Therefore, the minimum length of a railway between modules is 3 meters. For dimensioning process, it’s absolutely necessary a list with the wagon types that will pass over the railway.

The beams resistive structure is considered the best support beams structure in „I” form, design recommended as „best practice” by the international competent authorities in transport domain and in roads and bridges domains to (rail scale being assimilated as a bridge structure). Also, FLINTAB platform design exclude enclosed spaces where excess moisture can initiate corrosion processes from the inside out.

Positioning height of the end precast elements is 600mm measured by the higher level sleeper. End precast elements also the „U” type precast elements are armed with steel-concrete PC52 and concrete mark C45/55. These are poured in special formworks and the concrete is vibrated during the pouring. The weighing beams are made by steel with quality profiles S275 and quality sheet S355. These are dimensioned by FEA(Finite Element Analysis) and they correspond to loading diagrams according to UIC71, having a safety factor >2,5 and an arrow < 1:950. The railway type is 49, with all the fastening elements AFER certified.

1.3. INSTALLATION MOVIE - RAILWAY WORKS

The design of the working location of a rail scale is performed by an authorized unit AFER(Romanian railway). The documentation is verified in accordance with law 10/1995 is submitted to AFER Bucharest (only for the task book), to be analyzed and verified, after that to the Railway Division tin order to be authorized and to be executed. Obtaining the building permit is customer debt.

A. Notice before starting construction:

In short, the installation process on the industrial railway with a gauge of 1435(normal way) consist of: > Removing rails and railway sleepers on a length determined by the scale dimension. > Excavation and landscaping to a certain quota (removing the stone layer where is necessary) to a fresh layer (without being impregnated with dirt, oil, fuel oil, etc.) > Transporting scale from factory. (Engineers and Constructors FLINTAB, Tecuci County. Galati) - need two trucks. > 25t crane for unloading and mounting the scale. > Installing metal foundations directly on crushed stone embankment infrastructure of the railway to 60cm under the lower level of the track. > Mounting the weighing active beams. > Restoring continuity of the railway and the embankment of crushed stone.

B. Work execution:

The works on the railways includes: > Topographic measurements > Getting out the ballast materials up to sole beams/ under the sole beams. > Filling ballast between the railways. > Compaction ballast bed with vibratory compaction plate (minimum 95%) > Auxiliary operations at the suprastructure of the railroad: cutting and drilling at the upstream and at the downstream of the rails. > Correction of expansion joints. > Tamping concrete sleepers on the new bed. > Moving the rails on the wooden beams. > Replacement of the rails, type 40, where applicable, with normal rail, type 49 and small railway material.

In case of existing rail is different from type 49 (older one, type 40) junction of those two types of railway will be evaluated in each case. The trasition from rail type 49 to rail type 40 can be done only with transition coupons in this way: on all the active length of the rail scale, there is installed a 49 railway type with all the catch accessories. The scale is

extended by a length equivalent to three sleepers, on which are the catch accessories for integrate the scale into the current railway (type 49 railway). To connect to rail type 40, the rail type 49 on the scale continues with a section of 3m rail type 49 at which is welding a section of rail type 40 of existing rail

The product has the scope to determine the weight in commercial deals and it is within the scope of Directive 2009/23/CE(which revoke Directive 90/384/EEC), transposed by Government decision 607/2003 regarding the introduction terms on the market and to put into commission the weighing device with non-automatically functioning, republished, modified by Government decision 1302/2009. The transport is gauge, for every two modules delivered is necessary only a single truck. The installation is made on-site very quickly with a 24t crane with whom the metalic frames and the weighing beams will be raised and will be putted on the broken stone earthwork.

Minimum length of the rail alignament where the weighing system should be installed, must be 60 meters with a maximum gradual slope on a two wagons length (+/- 10 mm). The scale will be perfectly integrated in the railway structure having the same infrastructure.

The weight of a wagon is the sum of each bogie weight on one section. The weighing soft permanently compare during the weights loading of two bogies and it mustn’t differ more than 300-400 Kg.

In case of this value is overcome, the loading of the LPG tank wagon is automatically stopped.Somehow, the weighing system is redundant by permanent checking wagon bogies weights which are being loaded.

Also, the weighing terminal is provided with two values setting for the prealarm of the weight reaching attempt and block the loading over the weight value admitted on the wagon.

The loading is made by controling the flow fine-gross at the beginning of the loading and fine-gross at the end of the loading.

Video system survelience in the cabin to view the positioning of the wagons / choosing weighing configuration with dedicated video monitor.

C-DECK rail scales are delivered on demand with 1520mm gauge for ICS (Independent comunity states) states. Also can be delivered with special construction with double gauge: - european gauge 1435mm- wide gauge 1520mm The advanteges of special construction with double gauge is that the wagons can be weighed whatever their gauge.

The FLINTAB fabrication and assembly site covers an area of 14000m2 with two main halls 2000m2 each and inside/outside storage areas of 8000m2, equipped with 6 indoor and outdoor lifting facilities.

and CNC lathes (Computer Numerical Controlled) > welding equipment with coated electrode and synergic welding wire devices based on inverter
