Meet the Author:

Mrs. Lucka and her husband Tom live in the California desert. He is a Field Service Engineer. They have two children, a son and daughter and four grandchildren. She retired 10 years ago after a 30 year career in the legal field. Since then she has embraced her passion for writing and creativity.

Mrs. Lucka has written poetry, one of which “On Your Wedding Day” was published in a book of poetry entitled “Collective Whispers”.

She is working on her memoire. She recently published her first book “A Thorn in My Rose Garden” about her personal journal of living with Parkinson’s Disease.

She also likes to cook, paint using acrylics and spend time with her family.

is diagnosed at 46 with Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease. Her personal

feelings and struggles are revealed and shared.

CURRENT PROJECTS

Ms. Lucka’s current projects are a historical romance novel, “Simone”. The first of a trilogy about a young French woman during WWII in occupied France.

She is also working on a children’s book about the adventures of a Cocker Spaniel named Buster.

Simone Conreux is a young French girl living in the Alsace-Lorraine Region of France during WWII. German Officers take up residence in Simone's family home in the small village of Saint-Germain. Simone is the eldest of six children, four girls and two boys.
