It is a busy time of year with school work and the preparation of another
school year as registration will open up in the next week. I encourage
you to take the time to look at your students 4 year plan in Parent
Access Center (PAC). Please discuss with your child their choices as well as the
teacher recommendations and extra-curricular activities that they are involved
in. We encourage everyone to make well-rounded and balanced choices so each
child can perform at their best. Please make sure that you do this prior to the
February 9th deadline.
Have a great weekend.

Class of 2021 Montgomery County Next Generation Leadership Program Applications for the Class of 2021 Montgomery County Next Generation Leadership Program were sent out through Naviance on January 16th. Student interested in apply-ing to this program will need to complete the online application, upload a resume and unofficial transcript, and have a teacher complete and email their recommendation form all by March 6th. This is a competitive program, not all students that apply will be chosen. This is a great program where rising seniors (you will participate in this your senior year) meet with other students from Montgomery County in sessions with leaders from across many aspects (medical, government, development, etc) of our county. Former students have made great contacts during this program and learned more about leadership through their participation. More information as well as the application can be obtained at: https://www.efta-us.org/next-generation-leadership.html
Next Generation Leadership Education for Tomorrow Alliance is proud to partner with the Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Com-merce to offer the Next Generation Leadership program to 12th grade students in the Chamber service area. The program is intended to provide promising students with the opportunity to learn about leader-ship at work in Montgomery County and to cultivate individual leadership skills through interactions ...www.efta-us.org

Tardy Policy
Students are expected to be in their
assigned classrooms when the tardy
bell rings. Each student is allowed
six tardies per semester, and each of
those six tardies is a warning. The
purpose of the warnings is to help
students deal with mishaps in the
hall, bad weather, heavy traffic, etc.
When a student exceeds six tardies,
the student will begin receiving
consequences from their Assistant
Principal. Tardies will start over
after each semester. Students seen
intentionally being tardy may have
all tardy privileges revoked and
consequences elevated. Students
who drive to school may have
additional consequences including
suspension of parking and/or loss of
parking privileges.

CAVALIER OF THE WEEK
CP FFA’s horse judging team placed 1st in our
contest last week.
Congrats!
Career and Technical Education (CTE) is helping our nation address key challenges such as workforce development, student achievement, economic vitality and global com-petitiveness. Career and Technical Student Organizations extend Career and Tech-nical Education in Texas through networks of programs, business and community part-nerships and leadership experiences at the school, state and national levels. Career and Technical Student Organizations provide Texas students with opportunities to apply academic, technical and employability knowledge and skills necessary in today’s work-force. CTSOs serve a total of 74,288 Texas students through DECA, FBLA, FCCLA, FEA, FFA, HOSA, SkillsUSA and TSA. Denisse Cabrera serves as the Vice President for the Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE). As a state officer, Denisse joined with other state officers respresenting their respective CTSO to visit congressional leaders during Capitol Leadership. While in Austin, she and the other officers used their voice and shared
their passion to promote and advance Career and Technical Education in our Texas education system. As the TAFE State Vice President, Denisse has gone to numerous leadership trainings throughout last spring, summer and fall. She has worked tirelessly with the other three TAFE state officers planning the TAFE State Conference: Teach for Tomorrow Summit. Denisse has been involved in writing the script for all three general sessions, planning the theme and decorations for the conference, preparing a professional development session to share with other students and advisors and overseeing the student centered activities for those in attendance to enjoy. Denisse embodies the College Park traits of Commitment, Pride, Honor and Success!
