Sight Word Review: have, they, four, two, blue -use your sight word booklet for your list of words. *Skywrite your sight words with big motions. Skywrite your words with tiny motions.  Extension/Optional Sight Word Block Game:

Turn a classic block building game, like Jenga, into a way for you to learn your sight words.

Start by writing a sight word on each block. Playing the normal

Jenga rules, where a player removes a block from the tower

and places it on top, have the student who removes the block

successfully use the sight word in a sentence before the next player takes their turn. Or for an easier version, read and spell the words

while moving the blocks.

Comprehension skill: Setting- Where does the story take place?  Rainbow Write   your sight words- Trace with different colors with chalk, crayons, or markers

Amazing Words: Architect, plumbers, landscapers,

electricians, painters, movers

Tic Tac Toe Write your sight words on index cards or paper. Put them in a pile face down. Take a card, and read it. If you can read it, you may write an X or an O on your game board. See example:

Journal Writing Prompt: Draw a picture and write a ‘5 star’ sentence, using the starter, Building a house…. *The writing template is on the kindergarten website.

Extension/Optional: Sight    Word Candyland Game: Create your own game board

or use one if you have it!

Write a sight word on each of the cards (or just the double square cards if every card seems like too much).Students will read the word on the card before moving spaces.

Read/sing our weekly poem: Draw a picture of the lifecycle of a butterfly-

Reflection 5-10 minutes

Reflect on the day or week in writing and/or pictures. Answer questions such as: What is one new thing you learned? What is something you tried your best at? What was the best part of the day/week? What was hard? How are you feeling? What is your goal for tomorrow/next week?

Other considerations: Not everything needs to be online. Playing games such as Uno, Yahtzee, Boggle, Scrabble Jr., Monopoly, etc. provide additional reading and math practice.
