Bring Your Own Device to this teacher training. "App"solutely iPad IOS 6 will cover all the new features in IOS 6, such as do not disturb, privacy, full screen browsing, spotlight searching,

speech to text, sharing menu, guided access, reading lists, and the accessibility settings. Participants will explore different ways to utilize the iPad in the classroom and learn many tips

and tricks to navigating their way through the many applications of the device. Motivating Students: Making the content relevant by making it personally meaningful to the

students. Developing learning experiences where inquiry, curiosity, and exploration are valued.

You will receive 2 tech points for this class. Tech Points are awarded for Technology Staff Development that takes place outside of school hours. Teachers receive 1 Tech Point per hour

and can spend the points in the Tech Point Store in the Staff Development Portal. The funds used to purchase all Tech Point equipment and supplies are from grant sources, which require the

more expensive equipment to be tagged and remain on Tangipahoa Parish School System inventory. This equipment is the property of the teacher as long as she/he remains an employee

of TPSS. When the teacher leaves the parish, the equipment must be returned to the TPSS Technology Department.

• Bluetooth> On- click on the Bluetooth device you would like to use and follow the on screen instructions.

• Do Not Disturb: On or Off (setting for do not disturb are in Notifications. )• Notifications>Do Not Disturb

• Automatically Turn on: Scheduled set time you do not want to be disturbed• Allow Calls From: Allows some calls through• Repeated Calls: Allow callers who call a second time within 3 minutes to ring through.
