A conversational implicatures is something, which is left implicit in actual
language use. It is the most importance concept in pragmatics. An implicaturefor
the case in which what the speaker said is distinct from what the speaker thereby
meant (implied, or suggested). It is due to rules and principles of conversation:
more pricesly, to the Cooperative Principles and its maxims..a comedy as a
literary work, quite often, involves „making sense‟ of language, which on the
surface appears to make no sense of all, and it may be caused by conversational
implicature.
The aims of this study are to explore and to explain (1) maxims of
conversational implicatures (2) meaning of conversational implicature.
The source data is the dialogue on One-Act Comedy of “The Worker” by

Relevant (be relevant) and Maxims of Manner (be clear). There are 22
conversation implicatures on dialogue of One-Act Comedy of “The Worker”.

maksim implikatur percakapan(2) makna implikatur percakapan.Sumber data
adalah dialog tentang One-Act Comedy of “The Worker”oleh Walter Wykes.
Wujud data adalah dialog One-Act Comedy of “The Worker”yang membahas
implikaturpercakapan.
maksim: Maxim Kualitas (benar), Maxim of Kuantitas(secukupnya), Maxim dari
Relevansi (berkaitan) dan Maxims dari Pelaksanaan (jelas). Terdapa
t22percakapan implikatur pada dialog One-Act Comedy of “The Worker”. Yaitu
maksim kuantitas (10), maksim kualitas (4), maksim palaksanaan (6), dan maksim
hubungan (2). (ii) makna konvensional selalu muncul ketika implikatur muncul
