- Nunavik is a region in the northern third of the province Quebec and is the home land of the Inuit of Quebec

- A historic agreement in March 2008 came into play and created a form of self government and formed an area called Regional Government of Nunavik

- It was created to satisfy the Inuit's requests and land claims to form there own parliamentary government

- 90% of the population consists of Inuit people, Nunavik has a population of about 10,000 people

- The arctic environment has challenge and opportunities for the Inuit people, generally they have to live through harsh conditions, they like to rely on a traditional way of living as it gives them a sense of identity and unity

- There traditions are changing and there way of life as population increases, the climate changes, and everything becomes more modernized

- Industries and jobs consists of, Traditional art, Hunting, Mining, Carpentry, and Tourism

- There are many other jobs that you would expect to see in normal cities and towns, such as jobs within the educational system and government system

- I believe it will flourish as long as it continues to expand and encourage youth to enter and complete the educational system so they can get jobs and make the economy stronger

- As the population increases the living standard becomes higher and as a result the economy can become stronger

- Nunavik has potential and if all the right moves are made it can without a question flourish and become a proud part of Inuit history
