By: Tyler Knight
THE LIGHT BULB: WHO INVENTED IT?
Thomas Edison was the inventor of the light bulb. He didn’t actually invent the light bulb, just improved it to the modern version. He was born on February 11, 1847, in Milan, Ohio. He was the youngest of seven children. Thomas Edison invented the light bulb on He died on October 18, 1931, at his estate, Glenmont, in West Orange, New Jersey.
IMPORTANCE OF THE INVENTION
The light bulb is very important in today's world. People didn’t need to use candles any more. It provided better light than a candle too. Candles are more dangerous and can start fires. Light bulbs create a brighter and safer light source.
AFTER THE LIGHT BULB
The light bulb was upgraded with better filaments. It also sparked the invention of the light bulb that uses gases instead of filaments to produce light.
FUTURE OF THE LIGHT BULB
I think the light bulb will one day be better for the environment and more efficient. I think it will be able to run on less electricity.
