Facts about the Gray Banded snakes
There are 23-25 rows of scales on the gray banded snake. The grey banded snake can be all black but very uncommon to see one black.
It is a Mexican snake that is found in Mexico. It is active during the day especially during dusk It is also found in Texas and has light spots on it when it found in
Texas. It becomes noctururnel in the summer. . It eats other snakes including rattlesnakes, copperheads and
coral snakes. Gray Banded snakes also eat lizards ,birds, eggs and seeds. They can live up to 24 years old. It can lay up to 4-9 eggs. The eggs hatch in 9-11 weeks. It lives in many habitats it can go to bushes, to desert, to hilly
mountain sides.

The eggs of a gray banded is 32-45mm long. When the babies they are born they come out to 23-28cm long. The gray banded was once very popular then people started to
collect them then they became very endangered but is not endangered any more.
Lizards are a diet to gray banded and also eats frogs and other small rodents.
The gray banded is in the largest snake family the Colubrinae. The Colubrinae family has 300 different kinds of snakes in it and is
divided in three different groups. Some Gray banded kingsnakes live in very small sections of
southwestern part of the united states. And the gray banded also live in northern part of Mexico as well as
13 counties in Texas. Gray Banded snakes have a wide head with large round eyes and
round pupils. The length of its body is 24-36 inches or (61-91cm.) The difference of males and females is males have a longer tale. On average 57,010 people die from snake attacks each year.
