Chief Promoter of The Southern Region Terrain Tribal Welfare Multi Stall Cooperative Society Ltd., No.70-11 Ih Cross, Nethaji nagar 1st Street, Urapakkam Post, PIN-603210, Chingleput Taluk, Kancheepuram Distriet, Tamil Nadu has submitted a proposal for registration under the provisions of MSCS Act. 2002.

On scrutiny, following deficiencies have been found in the proposal:­

],. The objects and Services proposed by the Society are wide ranged and miscellaneous vvhich indicates that the Society is a multi-purpose society for which NOC from the concerned State Governments is required to be submitted.

2. The Society has not indicated the type of the Society in its name.

3. The Viability report submitted by the Society does not indicate that how the Society hol'ds the necessary prospects of becoming a viable unit.

4. Bye-law No. 6A(iv) & 48 relates to credit.

5. Some of the ID proofs submitted by the Society are in their regional/local language on account of wh ich the identities of mem bers are not establ ished.

6. In Bye-law no. 4(x), definition of persons is not consistent with Section 25 of the MSCS Act, 2002

7. Since the objects and functions are related to credit, the following documents have been made mandatory for the proposed credit/ multi-purpose society to submit along with their proposal of registration, which are not enclosed by the Society:­

A. No objection Certificate from the Registrar of Cooperative Societies of the States/U.T. where the area of operation of the society extends.

B. A cel1ificate to the effect that the credential of the Chief Promoter/Promoters members have been verified by the Registrar of Cooperative Societies of the States where the head office is proposed to be located.

8. The name of the Society starts with Southern region and whereas the membership drawn from only two states i.e, Tamil Nadu & Puducherry.

9. The objectives are vast. At the time of Registration, the objectives are to be limited, since the bye laws are amendable as and when required.

11. There is no projected financial statements for 3 years. without which the financial viability of the Society cannot be asceltained.

12~ Bye-law No. 24(1) is not consistent with the provision of ection 37( 1) of the Act. .

In view of the above deficiencies. you are hereby called upon to show cause as to why the registration of the proposed society in the name of The Southern Region Terrain Tribal Welfare Multi State Cooperative Society Ltd., No.70-U th Cross, Nethaji nagar 1st Street, Urapakkam Post, PIN-603210, Chingleput Taluk, Kancheepuram District, Tamil Nadu under the Multi-State Cooperative Society Act. 2002 and the rules made there under shall nol be refused. The Chief Promoter of the society or in his absence any promoter rnembet authorised by him is called upon to appear before the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies on 17/08/2016 at 9:30 A.M. in Room No. 224, KrishiBhawan, New Delhi

If none appears for hearing, it would be presumed that you have nothing to say in the matter and accordingly appropriate order shall be passed, ex-parte
