I am directed to refer to your proposal on the subject mentioned abcive seeking permission of the Central Govt. for starting/increase of seats in variofus Super Speciality course(s) at King Georges Medical University under Section 1A of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

2. After careful consideration of the scheme and taking into consideration the recommendations of Medical Council of India in this regard, this Ministry has come to a conclusion that a letter may be issued for obtaining certain essential documents required for issuance of Letter of Permission (LoP) for starting/increase of seats in the following Super Speciality course(s) with intake of stude ts mentioned against each course from the academic session 2018-19 at your coll ge under Section 10A of IMC Act:

Increase:

DM (Neurology) : 06 (Six) to 08 (Eight) Seats

M.Ch. (Surgical Gastroenterology) : 02(Two) to 03 (Three) Seats

3. Therefore it is requested to furnish the following documents/undertaking/acceptance of conditions to the Ministry:-

The applicant should provide all infrastructural facilities in terms of teaching and non-teaching staff, buildings. Equipment and hospital facilities as per Medical Council of India norms. No student should be admitted in the above course till the formal permission of the Central Govt. is granted. Private Medical Colleges should provide Bank Guarantee of required amount in favour of Medical Council of India, New Delhi valid for three years from a nationalized/scheduled Bank as per MCI's norms against starting/increase in seats in above said course. However, medical colleges/institutions governed by the State Govt. are required to furnish only an undertaking to provide funds in their budget till the facilities are fully provided as per time bound programme indicated by them.

Action to grant formal permission of the Central Govt. for starting/increase of seats in the said course at your college will be initiated on receipt of a compliance report/fulfilling the conditions enumerated in paragraph 3 above. The Bank Guarantee/undertaking may therefore be sent immediately to enable the Govt. to issue Letter of Permission for the year 2018-19 by 31.05.2018.

Sub: Starting/Increase of seats in various Super Speciality course(s) at Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai - Permission of Central Govt. - Regarding

Sir,

I am directed to refer to your proposal on the subject mentioned above seeking permission of the Central Govt. for starting/increase of seats in various Super Speciality course(s) Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai under Section 10A of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

2. After careful consideration of the scheme and taking into consideration the recommendations of Medical Council of India in this regard, this Ministry has come to a conclusion that a letter may be issued for obtaining certain essential documents required for issuance of Letter of Permission (LoP) for starting/increase of seats in the following Super Speciality course(s) with intake of students mentioned against each course from the academic session 2018-19 at your college under Section 10A of IMC Act:

3. Therefore it is requested to furnish the following documents/undertaking/acceptance of conditions to the Ministry:-

The applicant should provide all infrastructural facilities in terms of teaching and non-teaching staff, buildings. Equipment and hospital facilities as per Medical Council of India norms. No student should be admitted in the above course till the formal permission of the Central Govt. is granted. Private Medical Colleges should provide Bank Guarantee of required amount in favour of Medical Council of India, New Delhi valid for three years from a nationalized/scheduled Bank as per MCI's norms against starting/increase in seats in above said course. However, medical colleges/institutions governed by the State Govt. are required to furnish only an undertaking to provide funds in their budget till the facilities are fully provided as per time bound programme indicated by them.

Action to grant formal permission of the Central Govt. for starting/increase of seats in the said course at your college will be initiated on receipt of a compliance report/fulfilling the conditions enumerated in paragraph 3 above. The Bank Guarantee/undertaking may therefore be sent immediately to enable the Govt. to issue Letter of Permission for the year 2018-19 by 31.05.2018.
