ByRosieLucyErin

How it all happenedIt was on Easter Sunday that Jesus rose from death. Jesus had told his disciples before he was arrested that he would be crucified and on the third day he would rise from the dead.Easter and Passover always fall close to each other but they are not always at exactly the same time.

The CrossJesus, a Jew, was crucified during Passover time and it is said that the Last Supper was a Passover Seder (a ritual meal that commemorates the Biblical accounting of the Jews escape from Egyptian slavery). It is Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection that led to the start of Christianity.

All about Jesus Jesus was a Christian and had never ever been bad to any one before . He was gods sun and was supposed to bring happiness to the world ,but people did not like him like the church leaders because they thought he was going to take over .

Why we have Easter?

Easter is a Christian festival. For Christians the custom of giving eggs at Easter celebrates new life. Christians remember that Jesus, after dying on the cross, rose from the dead. They believe that, through his resurrection, Jesus defeated death and sin and offers people the promise of eternal life if they follow his teachings.

First of all, Good Friday is a religious tradition, and its celebration as an official church holiday is not supported or encouraged by the Bible .Although it is not outlawed by the Bible either. Christian groups do not celebrate this holiday, as they do not accept the human tradition which led to the holiday.

GOOD FRIDAY

This is the cross similar to the cross that Jesus died on, on Good Friday.
