watching, bird watching. But whale watching is the most common. Did you know there is over 900 humpback whale calls in the Bay of Maine during the warmer seasons. You can go see whale watching at the Bay of Maine from mid-April though October.

The Great fire of 1866, started at a Fourth of July Celebration, it destroyed most of the public buildings, half the churches, and hundreds of houses. The city was rebuilt with brick Victorian style and early 20th century houses, now seen throughout Portland, Maine

I think Maine is a great state because it has a lot to offer. Maine has over 60 lighthouses that line the coast. Maine is the farthest northeast of all the states.

The University of Maine gives a great education like great

engineering programs, undergraduate and graduate degree programs in forestry, computer science, and many more.
